This news very very true.. it is realy happen and I believed that it still happening.
I use to work for NGO in Ratanakiri province along Sesan river. The first two year I start to work at that area (before they build Yahly Dam) whenever I go to the village I always smim (take bath) in the river, but since they dam built, the water completely changed. I realy got itchy on my boy after I swemmed. I had tried again and again, finally I found that, the river water no more good and I stop swim or even put my leg in.
Khmer gov't needs to talk to viet gov't about this issue because it is very important for individual's health. Let the viets know that majority of the population are now half vietkhmer we need to fight against this together to protect our people. k. intelligent

Someone should take issue complaining to WHO (World Health Organization) regarding the health and safety of the villagers. The Viet hydro company must responsible for the villagers' health problems and all cost for treatment.
For those villagers to treat their diseases, they need some kind of inti-biotic medicines for diarrhea and skin disease. In addition, they must stay away from the river's water and drink only boil water.

I am garred with Mr.9:30AM all my hearted ,when I was in high school (TOUL SVAY PREY) I was in history class my professor told us (Viet nam had done some thing familiars with the khmer in this article to chase the CHARMS (Champa people ) out of the country the youn not hesitated to pour the pork grease on to the ponds, pools ,streams,Greeks or lakes so to stop the Charm or to chase the Charm out from their home land then The Vietnam get the free land with out a single bleeding the Charms . In Cambodia they use the growing bamboo plants systems to kick Cambodian people out so they can get the free space for them, the growing bamboo spread out to destroy all the plants surrounding them none of them can survive (check them out where the bamboo grow) At night time they uses the vulgars noises ,or steal here and there and prostitutions ,as the mayor Cambodian people like to live their lives in peaceful,generosity,charity understanding, practitioner of the dharma and devoting to the Buddha Laws ,start to move out because they can't stand with the criminal breeds (Viet Nam ) so the Vietnam always get win win situations for free space (Bamboo formula youn keep it as their advices every youn home . Dear Somransy party this Cambodian minority place (sesan River location ) the place that you can build up the cases against CCP(Devil)Also win on khmer heart . But you are must very caution on the way there because CPP's snakes are waiting to bite you for youn.

Look at the satellite photo along the Sesan river, Sre pork and Sekong. The water become dark befor flowing into the Mekong river.From the satellite, mining activies could be seen in the very upper stream.
Before the Yahley Dam in Vietnam there are signs of mining activities also befor the water flowing in the reservoir.
Man-made activites destroyed the environment and affected human health. Not only Cambodian had suffered, but also vietnamese people had suffered as well. There is cover up of grand scale.
World Healt organisation should look into it.
Golbal Witness should know it alreadyÉ Did they turn blind eyes to it? Because fron the satellite the color of the water had dramatically changed in the 3 rivers befor fowing down in the Mekong River at Stung Treng.
The table will turn on the head of the poluters and on the rulers.
The punishement will come directly from God. They cannot escape it.
