Illegal pharmacies face crack down in Cambodia

Cambodia's municipal and provincial health officials are set to meet with owners of illegal pharmacies in Phnom Penh to demand that they apply for legitimate licences or face closure.

In January, the ministry of health gave a February deadline to the unlicensed pharmacies to either register or be closed.

There are 528 licensed pharmacies and 116 illegal ones in Phnom Penh alone.

Authorities say it's difficult to control and monitor the sale of expired drugs with unlicensed pharmacies operating.

It is very easy to control pharmacies.

Every registered pharmacy has a license number which is shown outside of the pharmacy.

Just close them if they not register!

The other question is WHY they do not register?
They do not have qualified staff. Only a studied pharmacist can run a pharmacy.

I guess there are MORE than 1.000 illegal pharmacies in Phnom Penh.

Mango-steen rind has many medical benefits without side effects.
In Khmer: pleah mongkut? something like that. Do a search on mangosteen and see the benefits this fruit has.

you know, if you want to understand the real dictator, i mean a true dictator, study spain's former dictator franco. he ruled a firm grip on spain until his death. now spain is much better in terms of freedom, etc... that said, i still think cambodia is lack of term limit law, not a dictator problem like spain used to have, really! now, that said, do you really understand what the word dictator is? yes, do know the world's real dictators out there! i think cambodia is not one of those countries with a real dictator, a lack of law, maybe, but not a real or true dictator! get a worldly education already!

Cambodia and North Korea are alike. They both possess strong potential to become great, but the potential will never be realize because both countries are run by morons. Cambodia is the exception because it has a rope around its neck held firmly by Shitnam. North Korea on the other hand is free to change for the better. Maybe Cambodia should split into two countries as well.
