According to the report ‘Tourism Highlights’ released by the Cambodian government, Cambodia has witnessed steady growth in its tourism sector over the last five years.
In 2004, there was a total of one million international arrivals to Cambodia and this figure was recorded at approximately 2.13 million in 2009, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of around 16%.
In 2009, the Vietnamese formed the largest group of arrivals, accounting for approximately 15%. The Koreans formed the second largest group at 9% of total arrivals while the Americans accounted for 7%.
