The KR regime was a bitter historical regime for Cambodia. Some choose to remain silent to forget about their past, but for Mrs. Sim Yim, a former artist, musician and singer under the Democratic Kampuchea (KR regime), she did note evade the truth about her artistic life under this regime.

We love Buddist khmer song,

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth."

"He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye."

"Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it."

- Quotes from the Buddha

nobody is denying that the KR was ultra-nationalists, however, it was the killing and the deprivation and the lack of freedom, the starvation, the lack of medical care, particularly the starvation and the killing mostly, that deemed the KR regime "stupid". they should've allow people to eat plentiful and not killing people. i think that was their biggest mistake, maybe because the people who ran the people were evil, ignorant, and full of anger, hatred, revengeful, uneducated, etc, etc... other than the killing and starvation, many things about the KR regime was not that bad because there were no crime, no prostitution, etc..., overall no ill-society to speak of. i think the KR failed to see that the population of the country is a national resource for if you starve population and killed off the educated, the intellectuals, the educators, etc, etc... your country is ruined and you lack man-power to go on as a nation, really. whatever the stupid KR was thinking, they apparently did not think about the future of the nation, only the present, making cambodia weak in the process by killing its most important resource, the human population of the country, really! i mean, it wasn't like cambodia was poor or lack of natural resources, and so forth, it was the way the KR governed that ruined cambodia of that time. they weren't smart for sure! they were blinded by their own ignorance, really. you don't kill off your population, your man-power, your identity as khmer, your future as a country, etc... that's exactly what the stupid people who ran the KR did. unfortunately, ignorance was the enemy of cambodia, and ignorance was the result of no opportunity in the previous regimes e.g. the french colonial era, the sangkum niyom era, maybe they don't give enough education and opportunity to those future leaders like pol pot, ieng sary, khieu samphon, etc, etc,... and it was a backfire from those people once they took over power in cambodia. i hope we all should learn from all of this past tragic. yes, ignorance and partly isolation was the real setback or enemy of cambodia, really! people should be encourage to learn to think, critic, analyze for themselves. when you can think for yourself, you are educated, really! i way i see it in cambodia, it was mostly ignorance that cause all the tragedy there under the stupid KR. some people point fingers and like to blame others, but it all boils down to ignorance for if you are educated and smart and think for yourself, you will realize uh, i don't have to do that, that is so wrong, imagine someone else do it to me and my family, how would i feel, etc... that a small example of thinking, ok! think think think think for yourself, ok!!!!!!

KR, were no "ignorant" beings, they knew what they were doing - they were doing the will of their father, the devil. Since the God of all gods was in control of it all, he allowed what happen to take place for the good of those who would come to trust in the true and living God. Yes, the God of all gods allows tragedy to take place for the sake of saving some. God's foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of men.

Satan's seat has a strangle hold of the Khmer people for too long. I know 'cause I understand the spiritual implication it has on the nation since its inception.

Excellent saying 10:23pm & 10:27pm. Yes, please help to stop the ignorant by bringing more education and more fun to Cambodia. When people are having fun and having plenty of things to eat or everything else to enjoy life, thing will start to pick up and that's how a person a family a community or a Nation can grow. If everyone is talking and thinking like yourself, it will be fantastic!

Khmer Rouge's regime had fine principle, but as we all know it by now, it starts to looks more and more like a lier. There was nothing good about it. Just pure and simple lie. A lie that led 2 millions of our people to death. It was the darkness and saddest chapter of our lives. Never again should anyone is fool enough into it.

Think up, better and happier tomorrow,

Ordinary Khmer

the KR regime was also a political persecution like the ones we used to study from teh dark ages era where they conducted religious persecution, political persecution, etc, etc... just is cambodian persecution happened to be in a modern time, not the dark ages era, etc... it was an example of political brutality, the culmination of all the things that we used only to study in the history books, but was happening in modern time in cambodia. it's like blip in history or something, i think. it was a living hell on earth. the people who are responsible for it should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, really! don't tolerate that kind of regime again!

extreme states all over the world have always failed in a short time frame. i think ignorance is a choice of people. it is actually god's way, less competitive, less headache, more freedom, more laid back, etc., however, when you live in a competitive world around you, it won't work. so, the lesson is you have to go with the flow as they say it. yes, think competitively, especially when you have aggressive and competitive neighbors like youn and siem country, really! otherwise, cambodia could lose out to these competitive neighboring countries.

"God's foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of men."

Another justification of emperialism and their intentions to wipe out the innocents and exploitations of the weaks and their resources.

Dont be so right, let God have
compassion those that have gone.
