Mam Sonando, Director of the Beehive radio station, is forming an association for the democrats. The association bears a logo representing a crocodile with a pen blocking its open mouth. Mam Sonando’s action comes after he was unsuccessful in uniting democratic parties from the opposition.
Mam Sonando said that the association’s goal is to gather people who love freedom and democracy, and it is also opened to cooperation from all political parties, as well as NGOs. He added that the respect of human rights and democracy in Cambodia is weakened that is why he is forming this association of democrats in order to strengthen democracy in Cambodia.
At this time, Mam Sonando is preparing the association’s bylaw to send to the ministry of Interior to seek the authorization to form the association in which he will preside along with 11 other permanent committee members.
CPP MP Cheam Yiep indicated that formation of any association is the legal rights of all Cambodian citizens. He added that the formation of an association of democrats, whether it is Kem Sokha, Sam Rainsy or Mam Sonando, it will not stay strong for long. Cheam Yiep claimed that shortly after the formation, it becomes fragile and breaks apart because each one wants personal benefits.
MP Yim Sovann, SRP spokesman, indicated that the formation of the association of democrats is good, but its adherents must be faithful to each other when it comes to unity, because without faithfulness with each other, such enterprise is doomed.

Good that you form association. hope that you form it in order to get more money from Hun Sen like Kem Sokha.
Watch out of this crocodile. Mr. Sonando is not a united type of person, not a logical thinker, more of a divider for the politic of the CPP and Hanoi. More of a self-serving, overly ambitious nut. He has to lead, look at what he tries to set himself up all along.
be serious and professional, have good ethics, then person will trust and believe in the party. plus, be effective as well, don't be too passive, too lame, too ignorant, etc... be smart and profession will go a long way. show the people you can do it, then everything else will rebound and come to you naturally. be reliable or dependable so people can look up to you, ok!

He has to be a President of something to do anything useful for Cambodia. He plays to the tune of the CPP. A CPP clown at work and he works hard to loose a country he claimed to love. I don't subscribe to his mentality, nor his friend, Kem Sokha. They are all elements of Cambodia's obstruction to progress of democracy in Cambodia. These are the kind of people that see nothing further than their own egos. It don't fool me, at least.
