Sihanoukville – A one-star general by the name of Keo Monysoka who is the deputy navy commander in Ream, used violence on a child and a teacher at a private school in Sihanoukville in a case where kids were teasing each other. The incident took place at 4:30PM on Friday 05 march at an English language school located on the Monument of Independence street, in 02 village, commune 4, Sihanoukville.
Source indicated that, prior to the incident, a school child took a small turtle to show and scare the general’s son as a joke. The son then phoned and told his father. Shortly thereafter, the general showed up in school, slapped the young child who scared his son with the turtle, he kicked a school employee and managed to grab a teacher and yanked on her hair as well.
Following the incident, the teacher and parents of the slapped child reported the case to the authority, but up to now, no one knows how this case will be resolved yet.

The incident appears as if all too typical--well, at least our tradition.
Whether the incident is acceptable or not, we have to accept the fact the aforementioned incident is customarily acceptable by our society since it has become a part of our norm, unfortunately. We can call this a disease or epidemic of our society, however, you may choose to call it whatever you want, it will not change anything--not a thing, the violence will continue indefinitely, irrespective.
I empathize the suffering of the victims as a result of ignorance and remarkable crude of a mere individual. I'm quite saddened by the incident. Also, it is my sincere hope that the cycle of violence (of any kind) will be ceased.

Please be further advised that there are few Full-Colonel (Bird Colonel)ranks in Cambodia are even more powerful than the Brigadier or Major general--even Lieutenant general, and I'm certain that some of you are aware of the current situation in our homeland.
The Yuons DO NOT like to be general; they like to keep their profile low, whereas the Khmer generals are pure predators when come to hurting other Khmers--but not Yuons.

Also, now, there are five generals have been sold to Indonesia. Yes, these generals will serve foreign country in lieu of serving the Cambodian people's interest. Absolutely saddened by the recent news, cited from Everyday.com site.
Until then, the Yuon Colonels will reign our nation, including giving orders to the Khmer generals.
