The Senate will make a decision next Friday whether to impeach former foreign minister Noppadon Pattama retroactively for having signed a joint statement with Cambodia.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission recommended the Senate to impeach Noppadon for having signed the statement in support of Cambodia's unilateral registration of the Preah Vihear Temple as a world heritage.
The Senate Friday held a meeting to hear reasons of both Noppadon and the NACC representative before scheduling next Friday for making a decision.
After the three-hour meeting, Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondej said both the NACC and Noppadon would submit written statement to the chamber within Tuesday.
If retroactively impeached for violating the 2007 charter, Noppadon would be banned from politics for five years.

Is 3:53PM living in Cambodia now ? But if you are not in Cambodia now, your English needs to be improved . It's so terrible .
Thai and Cambodian right now are the same . Both of them got stupid Prime Ministers and stupid Gorvernments. I am so sorry for the people of both Countries .
If thai have problem with the disputed area with cambodia. They should take it up with France, not cambodia.
If the vietnam keep encroaching on khmer' land. The french should perhap step in. If not, International communities.
We been sandwiches left and right! Non of our government don't care, their rich neighbors would be Siem, Yuon, and etc. So far I 77% of Khmer to 23% of foreigners.

I have to admit that my English is not good either. However, I don't think beginning a sentence with the word "but" is grammatically correct in formal English.
Does Hun Sen know what an impeachment is? Can it exist in Cambodia?

We Khmers do not care what Thailand doing internally, impeach or not to impeach. We do not care! Just don't encroach on Cambodia land.
