General Him Yan, director of the police department for the ministry of Interior, told Koh Santepheap newspaper that during the New Year, i.e. between 13 and 17 April 2010, in the entire country, there were 254 accidents causing 49 deaths, 296 people sustained severe injuries and 234 people sustained light injuries. In comparison to 2009, the number of accidents and the number of people injured have increased, but the number of death from traffic accidents decreased. In 2009, there were 240 accidents causing 52 deaths, 233 people sustaining severe injuries and 224 sustaining light injuries. The majority of the accidents occurred from speeding.

If the Khmers want to kill themselves, why not doing it USEFULLY by going to the frontline at Preah Vihear, or the eastern border with the yuons.
Why you think that death or dying is because they are having fun or that they want to kill themselves? Imagine that one day you are walking on the roadside or riding a motorcycle with a slowly speed and suddenly a car crushes you. You get injured or even death. Do you think that this is fun or that you would like to die.

it's wake up time to revamp traffic law, i think. how many more life it takes to do something about it? people don't obey traffic rule, i guess, accompanied with weak enforcement as well. it goes both ways, i guess!
I'd agree with you 11:29,it's the law that is what the problem are,peole all ages can drink and drive there no retrictions on drinkind and driving under influence of alcohol,people there just like to have too much fun and not concerning of other people salfty.
