Mrs. Mu Sochua’s request to the Supreme Court to delay her hearing from 07 April to a date following 17 April is of no use. The court will deal with her case as it had scheduled.

According to a Supreme Court official, on 07 April, the Supreme Court will hold a hearing on Mrs. Mu Sochua’s appeal. In July 2009, the Phnom Penh municipal court decided in favor of Hun Xen and ordered Mrs. Mu Sochua to pay 16.5 million riels (US$4,100) in fine.

Kampot SRP MP Mu Sochua fought hard against the comments made by Hun Xen in April 2009, where he claimed that: “There is a thug (“cheung khlang”) woman, she ran to hug others, then she accused them of unbuttoning her blouse …” Mrs. Mu Sochua believed that Hun Xen was aiming her. However, the court which does not have much independence decided to let her lose the case.

Even if the Supreme Court does not care much about her delay request in a letter dated 29 March, Mrs. Mu Sochua does show any concern about this issue.

Nevertheless, an official for the Supreme Court indicated that the court seems to adopt 07 April as the date of the hearing, this date is also the one Mrs. Mu Sochua asked to delay.

(“cheung khlang”) is not a Thug. Who the heck translated that to a Thug!

“cheung khlang” can be a compliment, that she is a strong woman who not afraid to fight.

The problem with this whole mess is because he want to use this law suit to her advantage, to gain more fame, but end up fallen into her own trap!
Now she is in trouble and cannot even get out of it.

if we look for pattern, srp and company have a penchant for delaying everything. now, how can they be effective if they have no concept of timeliness, etc..., really! maybe they should change their political party name to "delay expert party". how's that for a change?

"cheung klang" in khmer means not afraid to fight or courageous or brave or intelligent person. it rhymes with "chnas", and yes, it's not mean "thug", thug in khmer means "chour" or thief like in siem pad thug, that is!

In Aust, gov’t usually work together as a team but now and then they would criticize each other on work performance, in parliament house “debate” off cause but in the end they still support each others' ideas and concerns. They don't condemn each but they like to be corrected or need to be corrected. Unlike Khmer gov't, they like to condemn each other and intimidate each other. This is a very low act of work performance. Khmer gov't needs to learn to give each other some good value in term of integrity and professionalism and also to show other nation that they are very serious about how to run the country for its improvement. In addition Khmer gov’t, needs to learn to follow those successful nations and the management of its gov’t and don’t let other nations put us down no more because of our internal conflicts! This is really shameful for all of us as a nation. Also please have some value for our nation! So we too can breathe easily. Aust
This situation is like kids who are being bullied at school. The whole world is laughing at our behaviours, the way we act, speak or response to the crisis of our nation and it is all based on personal conflicts rather then what else needs to be done to benefit our nation?.Where is the ethical code and the code of conducts, e.g. criteria of work performance, the organizational structures, like who is the boss, manager, and committees? work performance critia, each person has a role to play, like who is going to do what, weekly meeting between official, debriefing like what went wrong, what else next?... Khmer gov't must be able to provide good outcome for its work practices within each MP.
What went wrong between Ms Mu and Mr Hun Sen:
First of all Hun Sen as PM has a role to play as a “leader” which means he needs to have a good role model for our society that is no need to give personal critical analysis because if PM gives critical analysis to people , people can do the same to PM, it is like a bouncing ball. But if he does he will be judged as power and control over people’s lives.
Ms Mu on the other hand no need to take offences by PM comments or behaviour, maybe, the best thing you need to do is to ignore unless stated clearly otherwise.
In life, we have to know who the boss is and what their rules are. In other words, learn to work with them not against them. If things gone wrong you need to learn to use a “diplomatic dialogue” in term of "what are the effects of it?".
In this case: both Hun Sen. and Mu Sochua have lacked of communication skills: which include listening, understanding, reflective response, collaboration; problem solving and empathy skills that is “Rogerian approaches” which includes: congruence, non-judgmental, being in each others' shoes and caring with compassion and so on. cheung klang, dei klang, kla han, chnas all mean rogue like a rogue person or rogue elephant, etc... it's doesn't mean thug, ok! ask educated khmer if you don't understand, please!

"Cheung klang" actually means "how dear!", it is kind of a threaten word uses to intimidate a weaker person, like a mother says to a child ngen chenug klang hes? (this is for girls) or (as for boys) hean cheug klang hes? in this case "how dear you?". Aust
