29-year-old Khmer Krom Buddhist monk Thach Veasna flew from Bangkok to Prey Nokor (known as Ho Chi Minh City under Viet occupation), but the Viet cops at the airport arrested him on 01 April and they forced him to board another plane to return to Bangkok.

Khmer Krom Buddhist monk Thach Veasna said over the phone from Prey Nokor that, after he came to be ordained and study in Phnom Penh, he left to continue his study in Bangkok, Thailand, where he spent three years. On 01 April, he left Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, to visit his native village in Chrey Ta Sor village, Deum Chrey commune, Moatr Samotr district, Preah Trapaing province [known as Tra Vinh under Viet occupation], in South Vietnam. He said that he holds a Cambodian passport for his travel.

Monk Thach Veasna said that he refused to board a plane to return to Thailand because he did nothing wrong: “Now, they refuse my entry to my birth place. I left Bangkok at 9AM on 01 April. I left Bangkok to Prey Nokor to visit my birth place in Preah Trapaing province. I went to study in Bangkok for three years already, I am now returning to visit my birthplace. When I arrived at the [Prey Nokor] airport, the airport police arrested me, they refused my entry. They told me to return back to Bangkok. I refused to go back, I am staying to protest…”

Monk Thach Veasna added: “The reason they told me is that because of safety problem, they cannot allow me to stay in their country, that’s what they said. Then, I told them that this is my birth country also, so I had to go study [abroad], and now I am returning back to my pagoda to visit my teachers, my relatives, family etc… They told me that they cannot accept me, and that I must return back to where I came from, i.e. Bangkok.”

Monk Thach Veasna said that he asked the Viet authority to meet with Cambodian embassy officials, but the Viets did not allow him to meet them.

Up to now, the Viet authority did not provide any explanation into this case yet.

The Viet government is the most barbaric ruthless robber in the world.

First they take our land, now they deny us our rights to live on it!
Dam them! Dam them!

Where is our freedom! No freedom of moment! no freedom of religion! no freedom of speech! no freedom of making a living! no freedom of being Khmer in our own Khmer land!

Dam them! Dam them and their stupid United Nations signatures! They mean nothing. Freedom means nothing to these mean of savage and pirate tribes!

Take everything for granted, America did not have to open up to your pathetic life. It can let you die in your boat but it didn't.

After generation of freeloading off another country you still an arrogant fool. That's what you are a freeloader.

Firstload on Champa natural resource, freeload on Kampuchea Krom natural resource, freeload on Cambodia resource, and now America. And yet... What an ingrate, pathetic really!

Yuon people are the most low-life racist thieves I have ever met. They think they're better than everybody else but their really not. They prostitute their mothers and daughters in Cambodia and make our country look bad in many ways indescribable. They take Khmer names because they don't like theirs and besideds Viet names are ugly anyway. Why do they prefer to live on our land? Obviously, we are the better country and the better people and they want to be like us. If they are so better than us than why not go back to Hanoi Communist land? Anybody agree?

I say kill all the Yuons in Cambodia and in Prey Nokor.

viet/youn never promote khmer krom, so why khmer people like to promote viet/youn by mentioning viet/youn even on cambodia's tonle sap lake, rivers, and so on? stop doing that, you are promoting youn in cambodia by labeling everything viet/youn while we rarely ever heard viet/youn promote khmer krom in the mekong delta area. you see! wake up, people! i think these boat people are khmer krom people. otherwise they wouldn't be attracted to come to cambodia knowing khmer people hated them and are against viet/youn this or youn that in cambodia, you know! think about it. stop promoting viet/youn in cambodia, ok! viet/youn do not like to disclose anything going on in their country to the media whereas khmer people is more democratic than viet/youn, really! i think the world need to look closely inside viet/youn country, then we will see a lot of abuses, etc... it's about the stage show in viet/youn, really! don't buy into it!
