Cambodia [officially] imports $450 million in gasoline per year

During a year, Cambodia spent close to $450 million in gasoline import. A report issued by the ministry of Commerce that Rasmei Kampuchea received recently indicated that during a period of one year, the import of gasoline amounts to $449,154,765 for about 882,724 tons of gasoline. The report indicated also that the amount spent on gasoline import is the second largest after the import of raw material for the garment sector. The same source indicated that the amount spent of gasoline is larger than the amount of import for medicines and medical instruments, as well as food. The import of medicines and medical instruments amounts only to close to $107 million, and the import of food amounts to about $106.6 million. However, the amount of raw material for the garment sector is about $1.507 billion.

Cambodia should receive $150 000 000 as TAX per year on gasoline.

when the oil and gas extraction is in place in cambodia, that should reduce the national expenses a lot. again, good management is the key to success in this field.

If Bun Rany pays gasoline tax to Cambodian government, every others companies owners would have no choice and pay also their tax.
