Cambodian and Thai troops are playing volleyball and bowling together in a bid to reduce border tension and avoid further clashes, a military official said Wednesday.
Chhum Socheat, spokesman of Cambodia's Ministry of National Defense, said the match began Tuesday between the soldiers deployed along the border near Preah Vihear Temple, the center of border conflict.
He said the tournament will continue until May 21 at three border points not far from Preah Vihear Temple.
He said the initiative is to create friendly atmosphere and understanding between the two armies.
Cambodia and Thailand have fought three rounds of military clashes over border dispute since 2008.

Playing sport to reduce tensions?
These are some dumb military and politicians. They cannot up with a better solution? What's next? Bond fire?
Only the stupid Hun Sen's regime can play sports with enemies.

As kon Khmer I don't want to see this game to be played with The Siamese thieves enemy. Despite of this have happening, I want to bagge Khmer Militaries leaders please reject it next time.
As you have been known Siamese GOV'T want to achieve their embitious to encrauch, occoupy Khmer Land as same as Viet GOV'T did in 1979 because their population growing so they need to steal land from the weak neibhour.
Since then Sieamese GOV'T had used Hitler and Mousolini technic to intermidaton the neibhour by force then asking Mr.Hun for land concession along the Kh&Th's border, their first plan was totally failed. The second plane however, The Yellow Shirt Siamese GOV'T is using a Magic bullet one of their favour, first they're strongly confident that their war weapons are much supperior than, compair to Khmer Military's war equipments including number of Military personal. In this situation they see them selve as a master key holder, though, they are using delay tactic with Mr. Hun Sen. What is the delaying tactic means to Siamese GOV't?, they have more then one adventage to achieve their political gaol:
1- First they are seeking to buy any Khmer General of who ever ready to opose Mr.Hun Sen'addministrion, willingly leadding their troop to occoupy some of Khmer Land as same as the Viet did in 1979, to make their face look beter than invading neibhour by theirown troop(internationally), it was falled(Seic Samieth not in power zany more).
2- They're creating a theatre sceenary as it is actually in Bagkok to lour whether or not Mr.Hun Sen is attreacted to taking any advantage to invade Thai's territory while they're having conflict among themselve, or vice versa. This tricky and risky buseness is failled one more time, more ever they are creating a havy gravity among reach, poors, city and the rural people.
3- Potentially they will withdraw their troop from Khmer land to avoid the negociation table with Khmer, it might have some condition to be imposed on them which is they don't need it from Khmer down face to them. Other hand Abhi-SHIT feels beter face nationally and internationally by withrawal their troop because of extraction of the Red Shirts protesters. Nevertheless this thieve still maintain all the Khmer Land he had been claiming.

I never understand Hun Sen logic in dealing with the Siem military thugs. First of all these Siem military thugs are nothing more than a foot soldier taking order from Bangcock! The political solution to the Cambodian-Siem border conflict come from Phnom Phen and Bangcock not from the border conflict area!
