Who said that Thai Army do not kill their own people. They copy it from the US policy, first you label them, as terrists, then you have the right to kill them.
Do you remember the KR, they labeled you as the enemy of the state, then they have the reason to kill you. It is the same.
Don't forget, the army was trained to kill. They can kill their own leader, general, or their own family, if the order was given. That's what happenned to the KR soldiers.

When people link riot, demonstration with democracy, that's how people are getting hurt.
The army have the order from the Gov. to stop the demonstrators, if you don't do it, some body else will. Do you remember 1979 on how the Thai army deal with Cambodian refugee ? The Gov. did not care how the army do it, as long as they get it done, and you know the out come to that.
If Thai don't understand how could the KR soldier killed their own people and family, now they need to look at their own country, what they called, the change of command.
If you still don't understand it, ask yourself this question, who should get the blame on the killing? The soldiers who do the shooting or the leader who gave the order ????? I can't wait to hear the answer to that.
People are people, we all are the same human being, nobody is better than any body. Preventing the demonstration or riot from the beginning is easier than stopping one.
