Too late for another Republic. You better ask the US government to reinstall the Khmer Republic in Mojave Dessert.

The ceremony symbolize Cambodia main mean of livelihood is agriculture. Agriculture needs land. When people have no more land on which they can securely live on and plant the crop they need, the ceremony signify the plowing on the back of people and it water with their own tear and blood by a small minority of elites and rulers.
God will not allow this forever.
The time will come, the table will turn again on the head of the rulers and as consequence on the people themselves.

I watched CTN last night. It is just a show off for Cambodia royal and waste a lot of money to do such stupid thing. If the weather is not good, forget about praying and wishing for a good crop. This is 21st century, not old time. If you don't help yourself to be success, don't go to church or temple asking for success. Help yourself first before someone helps you.

This grandson looks like a fat boy and his partner, the girl, has no manner during the live TV.

The money that waste for the ceremony should divert to help poor Khmer people.

No support for royal family. They're just a bunch of shit people. They're the waste of Khmer resource and government. Can we live without them?

We should bring Khmer republic back. We should respect only the past Khmer kings who built Angkor, not the present Khmer royal families led by Sihanouk and the rest of his gangs.

He helped to destroy Khmer people and Khmer land enough. Who killed Khmer people?

First is Pol Pot and the rest of his team.

Second is Sihanouk who helped North Vietnam to fight American and helped Pol Pot to get rid of Khmer people.

But, some of us do not understand the consequence of Sihanouk act. If he is a good king, why does he sign off land to Youn every day? Why don't he tell Hun Sen not to do the bad thing to Khmer people?

Sihanouk and Sihamony are just the puppet of Hun Sen. They don't care what Hun Sen do as long as they can live in the palace.

Topple all of them including CPP and their leader, Hun Sen.

Bring back Khmer republic or democracy back to Cambodia.

My hero is Mr. Sam Rainsy, not these idiot royal or peasant people.

Same old same old! That why I don't like some of kings. Kings mostly abuse their power. Look at the pictures.

Very good for King Sihamoni for thinking " I ain't doin' this ancient, 7th century ritual, royal fairy tale mmabo jumbo thing!" it is only good for the uneducated and poor mass...

can you imagine during the heyday at angkor, the great khmer kings with their richness and brilliant treasures, etc that once believe to exist at angkor.

We are in 2010, royal family members should drop bad pratices, or Cambodians would do it for you and it would not be better.
