A small star steals the limelight from the giant moon ... like candle light stealing the limelight from spotlights imported from VN?

A villager who saw this event called DAP while the villagers were watching the event above. The caller said: “In my whole life, we never see such an event.”

Stargazers were treated to a spectacular and rare show last night after Venus was eclipsed by the moon.

The phenomenon, known as a "planetary occulation", occurred when the moon came between Venus and the Earth, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.

Online users said the alignment looked like a "smiley-face".

"Between the horns of the crescent, a ghostly image of the full Moon can be seen," NASA said in a statement.

"That's Earthshine, the light of our own planet reflected back toward us by the Moon's dark terrain.

Australians weren't able to see the celestial show — it was only visible in southeast Asia a few hours after sunset.

Venus is due to pass between the Earth and the Sun on June 5, 2012.

Moon is treated as Thailand while the star is treated as Cambodia. Now the star is raising on top of the moon.

Cheers Cambodia!
