there are millions and millions of khmer krom people in mekong delta today. youn can't just ignore that fact, ok! they must be fair and just with khmer krom people by allowing them their indigenous freedom and rights to be who they are and to have access to khmer language, culture, etc as well. if they can do that, then maybe cambodia and khmer people will have peace with youn for the first time in history! who knows!
khmer krom should to language khmer language clearly and legibly. sometime, i can't even understand what some of them are saying in khmer for they sound more like youn than khmer. so, please learn to speak khmer language like they speak it in cambodia, that is fluently and clearly. practice will make perfect. c'mon, all khmer krom people can do it by practicing to speak khmer language like we speak it in cambodia, ok! god bless all khmer.
How long have Khmer Krom had been under Vietnam control? Since 1863 they have had been with Vietnam and up to now.The Khmer Krom accent has not had been changed easily because their accent adapt to Vietnamese accent completely and speak Vietnamese fluently.How about Khmer in Northeast Thailand what we called them Khmer Surin? Can they speak like Central Khmer?No, they speak Thai fluently and almost forget their own native language.The young generation in Thailand can't speak Khmer at all.Thank to Chey Mongkol who help them how to speak,to read ,and to write Khmer. In contrast,Khmer children oversea(USA),a lot of them lose completely their own native Khmer language.So we should not criticize to Khmer Krom,Khmer Surin,or Khmer abroad.EvenMr. Barack Obama could not speak his native language.
