New Tang Dynasty

The Cambodian Prime Minister officially opened the country's first highway bridge in Phnom Penh on Thursday.

With the help of the city's mayor and thousands of onlookers, Prime Minister Hun Sen cut a ceremonial ribbon on top of the structure.

Locals at the ceremony shared their excitement.

[Him Sokha, Teacher]:
"I am very happy that we have the first sky bridge, which we never had before, and our Khmer people can walk and drive on it."

[Sam Vanna, Village Chief]:
"It is our Khmer pride that we have the first sky bridge, it is a tremendous bridge for our country and I still live to see it. I will bring my wife, children and grandchildren to walk or drive across it later on today to remember the opening day."

The bridge cost over 6 million dollars and was created to help ease traffic congestion in the city.

The bridge is 1,010 feet long, 17 feet high, and about 47 feet wide. It was completed last month and took one year to build.

ignorant ass = ignorant comment. Apparently, your ass doesn't know how something gets made. Let me enlighten your sorry excuse for a human being. Ever heard of contract auctioning? Don't be such a fucking dumb ass next time, dumb ass. When you talk shit about things you have no idea about, you sound like a jackass like you did. Good job, jackass.

Another point for the people who contribute to building the country. I wanna see what those anti-government got to say about things like this now. Make all the excuse and accusation all you want. Real work shows.

The people that made cynics out of themselves only have a very bleak future in front of them as Cambodia moves further into modernity and the cynics move further into obscurity as their false perception crumbles bit by bit with new building projects erected in the land of Cambodia.

A nice bridge and very usefull.

However, ALL the money for the bridge come from foreign countries because the Khmer People are disabled to do it by themself.

Just think what Foreigners think about Cambodians that since 1992 there are begging year for year money from other countries.

Do you understand why People from other countries are looking down on Cambodians?

Not because they are poor. They cannot do a good job so Chinese who come to Cambodian with small money become rich but Cambodians still poor.

Even the rich People who got their money from Corruption. It is the ONLY way they can earn money. They are running some real Business beside but loosing money.

Good example is the big piece of land beside the Russian Embassy.

Millions of Dollars the daughter of Hun Sen lost in this deal because the Koreans only give her 1 Million Dollar, she expected more money is coming and borrowed 9 Million from the CANADIA Bank.
Later the Koreans failed to pay the rest of the sum.

ONLY one example. Its getting worse now. At the end the Khmer will start to fight and destroy Cambodian again.

WHY?
Khmer people only can destroy but cannot build something up.

This is the true.
Show me that I am wrong!

I agree with you for not paying attention to the fanatics. But please, some of us do have some legitimate reasons criticizing this ruling government by Hun Sen.

Remember, each one of us paints our own self. What we do tell others a lot about oneself. The same hold true for Cambodia government. We all love Cambodia dearly. No one would criticize the Cambodian government if they works hard to protect Cambodia national interests; but what we see are widespread and un-interrupt corruption, unfair judicial system, the poor are being overlook for the rich and powerful, punishing our people for protecting our territories ceding to Vietnam, land grabbing ect...

As a Cambodian person, it is very hurtful and still nothing is changed. This is the reason why we still continue criticizing the government.

By the way, opposing the government does not mean it is obstructing progresses. It is a check and balance mechanism to balance power, so there is abuse from the government and to show the other side to the story.

Unless you are the pessimistic person.

it should read: there is no abuses from the government.

Only stupid people said nice about one 1200 miles of sky bridge. This is not so called a sky bridge. it's just an overpass and you can't call a freeway either because a lot of children walk and play on it. Only a dumb people like Ah Kwak hun sen's supporters love the bridge. Come on and wake up.

This bridge might get built by Ah Youn and Ah Chen because those two keep Ah Kwak in power. Ah Youn stole a lot of Khmer land and Ah Siem keep shooting Khmer people, but Ah Kwak and his supporters don't do anything about it.

These stupid Khmer only can hurt their own people but don't give a shit to Ah Youn.

Even Ah Sdech Chkout Sihanouk goes to Youn to say good thing, but he dares not to talk about Khmer issue.

Kill all of these bastards.

When Cambodian government has built road or bridge is really good for the country and Khmer people but it hurts SRP and its stupid supporters very paintful because SRP wants to see is poor and undevelopment.

Go to hell SRP and its stupid and extremely supporters.

The cost of this bridge only 6 million dollars so with the foreign aide of more than 1 billion dollars each year. Can anyone guess how many bridges like this and other buildings including roads that the government suppose to build in each year????

Maybe the guy from 3.02PM is able to shed some light.
