The government has apparently used vigilante groups to set up road blocks to prevent 17 MPs from the opposition Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) from visiting the contentious border post No. 270 in Cholasa district of Takeo province on 3rd June, reports Radio Free Asia.
The SRP MPs decided to defy the bans after their request was denied by National Assembly President Heng Samrin for visit to border post No. 270 claimed by villagers has having been planted inside their rice-fields and deep inside Khmer territory.
A group of about 200 people, including parliamentarians, civil society representatives as well as journalists had been stopped by police at two checkpoints for 3 hours before they were allowed to proceed to Anh Chanh village. After they arrived at Prey Pka commune, a group fo vigilantes blocked the bridge with a tractor which was stripped of its tyres. They then decided to travel by motorbikes and when they reached a canal, they were again stopped by a group of vigilantes who used two cars and a tractor to block the road at two places. The group then decided to tavel by foot for about 2 kilometres to reach Anh Chanh village when they were again blocked by about 50 young vigilantes and about 30 policemen who prevented them from reaching border post No. 270. At 12 noon, they decided to return back to Phnom Penh without reaching border post No. 270. However, some reports said that the parliamentarians and their group had managed to reach 150 metres from within the location of the border post.

Shame on you who get better on other suffering!
That is the strategy of taking Cambodian land which has been used again and again throughout history.
The Khmers are prone to division, desire for power and the tendency to mistreat their own compatriots.
The problems are made worse through lack of real knowledge and strong education among the citizens.
Throughout Cambodian recent history the security forces and administrative officials through lack of real education and knowledge will do more than being ordered to do simply to please the top leadership in hope for the left-over spoils even though the orders from the top make no sense and can cause destruction to the country and its people.
Our neighbours have used this strategy to divide us quite successfully and now the current government has learned to use this strategy quite effectively to divide the local Cambodians so they can control the people much more easily.
Only education can change the Khmer characters and help the Cambodians realize that they deserve better from their government and leaders, but real education does indeed take time, commitment and money, which are quite scarce in Cambodia.

To all Cambodian people,
As you can see, the only way to free our own Motherland is to use the guns.

Under the Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen Khmer Rouge Regime, no criminals that has been committed crimes against journalists, political opponents, leaders of the Free Trade Union, innocent men, women and children have ever been brought to justice.
This is how the Viet conquered Kampuchea Krom. They used the "divide and conquer rule" tactic to rule over Khmers. Now, they used the Hun Sen gang to rule Cambodia, divide and break up all nationalist parties. And as we can see, they used these uneducated and ignorant Khmer farmers to block and prevent Khmer patriots from visiting Khmer lands- border post #270. However, Khmers, like these ignorant farmers and Hun sen and his gangs, are largely to blame because they work for foreigners against Khmer interests.

Unfortunately, there always khmers slave youn everywhere to intimidate prepare to use violence against khmer shnehacheat.
I want to see them live like that for the rest of their live.
I would encourage the SRP to keep doing that until khmer people realize what is wrong from right.
I have found the National Assembly President Heng Samrin guilty of all counts by violating the SRP's MP constitutional rights to visit the border post No. 270 claimed by villagers that it has been planted inside their rice-fields and deep inside Khmer territory.
Viet heads but Kmer body! This is what Khmer Rough labelled Khmer.
I am sorry for the villagers who stopped Sam Ransy group from visiting the post. They were uneducated and poor and were given some money to do that. Please forgive them. They did not have choice but to obey for their Master for some food only. We need to love them and free them from hunger and ignorance first if we will have true democracy and freedom. When people have enough to eat, they will stop listening to CPP.

I am tired of hearing about how some poor villagers had to do something for the CPP in exchange for a bit of food and/or money. When are these people going to realise that they are betraying their country for that tiny scrap? Are they so stupid that they actually believe the same thing cannot happen to them? And even if they know that it won't happen, are they so selfish that they can accept a little money/food, and let others lose their livelihood? If they are not going to help defend their neighbours' lands, then fine. But why are they so hell-bent on stopping others from standing up? These idiots ought to be jailed for treason, along with all the CPP members.
Sam Rainsy Party make a mistake on fighting with Hun Sen and the King family. They should stay with King side to win the situation or election. NEED TO THINK ABOUT WHAT I SAID. Now they don't like Hun Sen and they don't like the King, that is completely wrong. It doesn't matter if both of them are wrong because you need one of them to weaken another. Sees you are helpless from the King.
OK, I looked up the word "vigilante" and it says ="One of a group of independent of the law working to suppress crime."
Fact, those clueless unpatriotic people are not "independent" at all. They are being used by the Hun Sen government instead. In addition, what SRP group is doing in never a CRIME at all. It is their obligation as stipulated in the Constitution of Cambodia.
So those unruly sell-outs should be called as "the mob" instead.
Mob =n= "large disorderly crowd"; Criminal Gang;
Mob = v = crowd around and attack or annoy.
Mob = the lowest class of people
Mob = rabble; dregs; masses; scum; trash.
1:27 AM, your definition is right, but these days the word "vigilante" means a group of people who self-appoint themselves as a group to keep watch on something. But the word "vigilante" these days means "mobsters" or a "group of mobsters" who want to act as policemen and often take laws into their own hands. The word "independent" means they appoint themselves as something, they are not appointed by anyone or the authority as lawful group. sometimes criminals are called vigilantes as well. "Mob" means a criminal gang, while vigilantes are not necessarily criminals but they often take laws into their own hands.

Yes it's a good sound of you because when Sam Rainsy's party do everything for Cambodia and Cambodian you said wrong. If you are a Cambodian who lost everything by Gov.then you will change your mind to say.....the past...the present....the future....
Three tactics cobine! using by ah kwack Hun Xen to destroy Cambodia!
1)Systermatic Corruption
2)Ganster style of offer that can not be refused, and
3)Pol Pot's style of timidation.
Can this evil element called, Goverment?
Sware to your mother UN, before you answer the question??????
