Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Monday that the civil war that lasted for more than two decades had left over 90,000 disabled people and about 300,000 children who are under their dependence.
Delivering a speech at the marking of the third anniversary of the Cambodian Veteran Day, Hun Sen said that his government has to help these people for their daily survival.
He said that in his name as president of Cambodian Veterans Association (CVA), he along with his wife and other generous people have built nearly 400 homes for the disabled veterans.
Hun Sen said the civil war in Cambodia was a result of the coup staged against then Prince Norodom Sihanouk in 1970.
While talking about the individual difficulties, Hun Sen said CVA has been well cooperated with friends around the world and in particular in the regional cooperation.
He said that CVA was admitted as a full member of the ASEAN Alliance for Veterans on April 26, 2010.

From that coup, everything else followed - the devastating massive US bombing of vast areas of the Cambodian countryside, the coming to power of the Khmer Rouge, the "Killing Fields". . .
In 1979, the Vietnamese helped overthrow the KR at the request of other Cambodians, including Hun Sen.
And in the following decades of guerrilla war against the new Cambodian government, most of the world supported, directly or indirectly, the Khmer Rouge!
This includes the US, China, Britain, ASEAN, and even the United Nations!

He Hun Xen just wants to make noise as blames casting on the deceased ones. He himself know that what had happned, happened from the reckless Xihanouk's political games. Hun Xen is no better than a traitor. Why is he a traitor? It's been 30 years since he's been in power, he's never prove himself as a real Khmer, instead he appears to be a complete traitor of Cambodia by allowing the Yuons to chop/chip Cambodia land gradully in the exchange for power. This blind mad dog never gets enough, just like Saddam Hussein does. Why he in dulges himself depper and deeper in the murky well of ambition? It's his ignorance. It paves the way for such an arrogant and despicable dictator towards a disgarceful failure in the near future. Nothing that man makes is permanent and impregnable, as the other fool uttered the other day. Even nature still get decayed.

We did not knew how many injured's Lon Nol soldiers in hosptal, civilians in 17 April 1975 - 1979 was liquidated on the spot by Khmer Rouges Killers, not Pol Pot alone could did this crime. In 1975 I had saw how Khmer Rouge fighter shut the soldiers despite they raised the white flag, why he don't talk über this?

Where did Hun Sen get the money to build all those houses ? His salary is not much more than mine . If he took it from the National budget , he should'nt put his name on those projects.
Without France as protector for Khmer from 1863-1953, Cambodia will desappear from this Globe or like Kampuchea Krom today. Without France, Sihanouk would never to be King in Kampuchea. In fact, if Sihanouk did not allowed Vietcong camping there the bomming will never dropped down on Khmer soil, that ist Sihanouk game bring Cambodia into Vietnam war. His got the power from France (west country) but with this power he served the communist against the west countries! Hun Xen get power from Viet and he is serving for Viet (allowing more Viet to be Khmer, selling Khmer land to his boss, move border into Khmer for his boss, ...). What he do is opposite from Xyhanouk. who is the best traitor for Khmer blood?
As I was young Sihanouk told in the radio that Kratie, Sting Treng, Mondolkiry and Ratanakiry were full of Viet army and now with new strategy 100000 ha land for Kau shuk plantation in contract 99 years what all khmer nation think about ? After this contract, You all Khmer believe they will return back home (Vietnam) , NO this land and more belong to them for ever, look back to the past during Chhay Chetha II (1623). That is Khmer ignorante never think back to the past and always hungry the power, without himselft, no once of khmers can lead the country, please look to the west countries with democracy way why they lead their country softly into the right way for all their people? To this point, I support PM HUN SEN. The tragedy and the misery of Khmers have been prolonging since the coup d'etat.
Up to this day, I do not belong to any parties. I ued to work for Lon Nol as an important officer. I handled, read, saw with my own eyes about the corruption, killing, mistreating the peasants,etc. US congress voted to cut off all aid to Lon Nol. That was the fact. People made mistake must accept it in order to let the young generation know the fact. Learn from mistake for the interest of the country and poeple.
I understand PM HUN SEN. I hope that one day and soon, he will liberate himself from Vietnam.
We must forgive and forget. The national reconciliation and the unity is the survival of all Khmers. L'union fait la force.

The US bombing of Cambodia was way, way more than just in the Viet border areas. It extended over most of the country, and caused catastrophic devastation to the whole country.
The US also sprayed Agent Orange on Cambodia as chemical warfare!!!
