Japan injects $2.25 mil for budget shortfall of Khmer Rouge trial

Comment: Japan is the leading country that has subsidized millions of dollars to ongoing trial of the Khmer Rouge. This is part of the effort of the United Nations beside of their previous mission to restore peace and build democracy in Cambodia. Cambodian government led by primier Hun Sen has signed agreement to bring top Khmer Rouge leaders and their affiliates to justice in order to construct a just society, heal Cambodian trauma, empower national reconciliation and strenthen the rule of laws. Although the trial has been affected by many obstacles such as political interferrences and lack of sufficient funds, the UNs side has been optimistic to achieving this historical trial. Thus, the expanding investigation of victims and perpetrators must be undertaken to completely adhere to the agreement. Judge Marcel Lemonde has already listed incumbent five officials to be investigated for further evidences for the tribunal, but government leaders including recent Chea Sim's opening speech at the 59th birthday anniversary of the CPP reaffirmed opposing Marcel's proposal - as you are considered as a Cambodian, do you support Judge Marcel Lemonde's proposal or not? - Do you think Chea Sim's speech can distort the independence of the court or not?

TOKYO —The Japanese government on Friday injected an additional $2.25 million to cover costs of the ongoing U.N.-backed Cambodian war crimes court. The latest injection was made at the request of Cambodia, which said 294 local staffers of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia have not been paid for two and a half months.

Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Masafumi Kuroki said the contribution will cover the shortfall of the national component of the ECCC operational costs from mid-April to September 2010. Kuroki said the Japanese government attaches importance to the Khmer Rouge tribunal for the main purposes of ‘‘preventing the recurrence of atrocities committed during the Khmer Rouge regime, delivering justice to the victims and strengthening the rule of law in Cambodia.’’

Chea Sim doesn't it, King doesn't want it and Hun Sen doesn't want it. Didn't you all know why? It because China doesn't want it and China is the King of all. Everyone knows China was the leadership of Khmer Rouge along with the Vietcong. Don't ask the mf. If the UN really want to find justice for the Cambodian people and prevent future killing like the one that was happening in Cambodia during Khmer Rouge's time, just do it. A few millions bucks to indict and open the face of the real killer such as China is like nothing. Those brilliant Lawyers, prosecutors and Judges deserve every penny of it. Please stop ask the most stupid question like you just did, because you act like the most stupid person on earth.

Don't bring China to the stage, only Hun Sen and his cohort who signed the agreement with the UNs to proceed this tribunal. He is the co-signer, why he has always dragged down and interfered the court?

As the government, what does the CPP want? The CPP is too weak and having internal trouble unable to protect the court or what?

It is a complex issues in regarding who killed about two millions cambodians.Under the painting of Vietnam, cambodians were dragged into civil wars.

China was also involved in assisting Pol pot's group,Vietnam was the mastermind of confused killing with assistance from USSR.
America was also part of destruction of cambodia due to war pre-killing field.

The benefiter is vietnam with its last act on appeared saving cambodians from KR.It plays well tactically, and lastly khmer revolutionists got killed and a fiew are held against supposed crime of killingfield, intellectuals from abroad were killed by Boeung Trabek prison, and majority of intellectuals in cambodia were arrested and killed by indochinese KR mastered by Vietnam, and continued on eliminating youths left over from killingfield under K5 plan.

Vietnam has taken all sources of wealth in cambodia in1979 and continues with the propped up group for its invasion.

Khmer compatriots ,please wake up to reality that your current lured comfort provided by corruption WON"T last.Subsequently you will be eliminated as part of chinese folk tales.
