The World Heritage Committee has postponed the consideration of Cambodia’s management plan for Preah Vihear temple to next year’s meeting in Bahrain, “Ruang Lao Chao Nee”, a television programme on Channel 3, reported on Friday morning.
The WHC, now meeting in Brazil, said that the documents supporting the management plan of Cambodia were sent to the World Heritage Centre instead of the heritage committee and therefore it had not enough time to consider details of the plan.
Natural Resources and Environment Minister and head of Thai team Suwit Khunkitti who is now in Brazil said Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had phoned him to congratulate the Thai team on its victory.
“The prime minister thanked all members of the team for working hard to protect the country’s sovereignty,” Mr Suwit said.

Since Hun Sen was a Khmer Rouge commander, now a Khmer Rouge leader and had many of his political opponents and journalists assassinated, I wonder if he have any plan to assassinate the Thai Prime Minister (Ahbullshit Vejjajiva)?
The Siem and the UNESCO can play cat and mouse game and delay all they want but at the end Cambodia will manage Preah Vihear temple which is already under Cambodian sovereignty! This is the fact!
What the Siem leaders want to do or deal with the UNESCO is their problem! What belong to Cambodia will belong to Cambodia!

it's just a postpone or defer or delay to next year. i'm sure the world will be watching this and by next year, siem will run out of lame excuses. next year is the final deferment, i believe for siem's official request. unesco would not allow any more after next and what siem want to do then. it doesn't change the fact that preah vihear temple is cambodia's, etc... perhaps, they just do this to say to siem, look we've been catering to you creepy guys, so, you better live up to it! it doesn't change anything except the deferment of the date to next year, the final year for siem, that's all! god bless my country cambodia.

Unesco must change its name. Because Unesco is not belonged to the world or UN, it is belonged to thai and on the other hand it does not understand what is the meaning of international laws, international agreements, internationla Court and international territory of Cambodia.
Unesco works in unfair for the poor country.
The world or UN should punish this very bad Unesco for its bad mood.
If some other organizations do everything wrongly like this, the world will meet harmful war.
So we have to keep all people live in peaceful with the international law.
if demarcation hold the plan, and if siem continue to use their unilateral map to claim khmer territory and if siem do not respect the 1907 international treaty whick cambodia only agreed with, then don't expect anything to finalize with this so called demarcation before our plan to unesco, etc... we want siem to respect the international treaty map of 1907 because that was the only map cambodia official agreed with; any other maps after that is siem's unilteral map that they drew by taking advantage of cambodia's preoccupation with civil war, etc... we can never accept that map of siem map to claim our lands, etc..., ok!

It is not a Win or Lost... It is Cambodian government duty to summit the management plan to Unesco, because it is the sole owner of the world heritage site. And it is not the matter of accepted or postponement. The temple has already been awarded the status. The threat of using force or pulling out from Unesco that we heard from Thai Government, I think it is purely political issue in Thailand.
Abhisit tries to hold on Preah Vihear issue so that he can be in the office a little bit longer. He has to keep the PAD happy. They are the ones that give him military power to chase the red away. And the WHC wants to avoid a total discussion on Preah Vihear main topic. Because it is very sensitve issue and they do not get paid for it.
Totally agree with comments above! Abhishit Vejjajiva savying his FACE! and trying to stay in the OFFICE little longer as he could hold on to...but UNESCO should knew so damn well that it does not make any different to postponed for next year..? Thailand will come up with the same old shit!!
