Dear Sir/Madams,
I am writing to express my disappointment over Unesco's capitulation to Thai bully over Preah Vihear that lead to the delay of the implementation of the temple's management plans put forward by Cambodia at a meeting in Brazil recently.
Unesco is well aware that Preah Vihear is a Cambodian temple and the temple surrounding areas are Cambodian territories under the 1907 Franco-Siamese Treaty, the 1908 map accepted by the then Thai king and the 1962 judgement of the International Court of Justice. As such Cambodia is well within its right to list the temple as a world heritage site and then to manage the temple as it sees fit. However, Thailand has bullied Unesco to delay the inscription of the temple for at least three times and then now delayed the implementation of the temple's management again.
I am convinced that Unesco is well within its right to approve the temple's listing and the temple's management plans regardless of Thailand's objections by following international laws and the verdict of the International Court of Justice. We Cambodians hope that Unesco would not allow Thailand hold Preah Vihear hostage any longer due to its hegemonic ambitions.

The Royal Government of Cambodia recently made a request to Google concerning this issue over the Preah Vihear, Poipet and other areas. Revisions have been made by Google, but still inaccurate Per UN recognized map.
1. Google’s Preah Vihear area is still incorrect per the 1904-07 Franco-Siamese treaty map of Annex I which was deposited at UN. Google chose to follow the American army map instead showing the 4.6 km2 as part of Thailand. The line further cut into the entry way of Preah Vihear temple with a broken dash line. Totally wrong, totally impartial! Dash line would yield to Thai for future claims. It should be a solid line further north by at 300 m.
2. Previously, the line was completely wrong, showing Angkor Wat entry gate and several Cambodian casinos on the Thai side. After Google’s recent revision, the error still persists. that the actual boundary line is in the middle of O’Chrov river bridge, not 200 m over the bridge into Khmer land.
3. The boundary lines of Kampuchea-Vietnam is still incorrect because there were no attempt by the RGC to demand correction. The Prek Krabao canal is the actual boundary between Cambodia and Vietnam. However, Google’s map shows it at least 500 m to 1000 m west of the canal. Now this is insane and reckless!
4. The RGC must send an official letter to the Vietnamese government why on earth were their motives building highways way inside the Cambodian side of Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri provinces. Do the Vietnamese think that the Cambodia-Vietnam boundary lines are transparent and not official?
5. All the boundary lines around Cambodia must be analyzed and scrutinized to ensure correctness per Cambodia UN deposited map.
Khmer people lost so much already. It is our duty in each generation to verify and safeguard the land that we have left. If the International Court of Justice decision over Preah Vihear Temple in 1962, some 48 years ago has no meaning to the Thais, who else can protect our homeland but ourselves…

i think unesco should remind siem to respect the international law, the icj verdict, etc... the fact that siem waited 100 years to say something is an indication of them untrustworthy in any future agreement for a section of their society will always protest, etc... this is where we the world community have to remind siem that the law is the law, like it or not, it's the law, really!

How can Cambodian claim victory if they didn't get what they wanted . They have to wait for another year to find out if they will get what they want or not.

Since Hun Sen was a Khmer Rouge commander, now a Khmer Rouge leader and had many of his political opponents and journalists assassinated, I wonder if he have any plan to assassinate the Thai Prime Minister (Ahbullshit Vejjajiva)?
I think the Siam or the now as Thailand should have overwelmed to what they have taken from Cambodia or in the past the Khmer- Morn after they have born between the 12th or the 13th century. Since there was a Siamese nation, the Khmers have lost a lot to them. We have lost our territory and a lot of cultural values to them. Ask the Siameses or now the Thais, who they were from the past?and where they were from? They are the ethnic minority from China and most of them were thieves.They were good at fighting and stealing people property. The Thais have gained a lot from Cambodia from the past until now. They have never lost anything to Cambodia. Why you said now that you afraid to lose the 4.6 sqm to Cambodia? You took a lot of lands from Cambodia since you became a state in the 13th century. The Siam took the land from the then Khmer Empire of the total to 90 percent of the now Thailand area. Why you, the Siameses wanted the 4.6 Sqm again these day? There was no clearly territorail border lines in the past and you just kept capturing the Khmer lands those day but since you asked the French to draw the map and you have accepted it in 1904 - 07, and that you were so happy that the Khmers will never claim back their lands that the Siameses had invaded and captured as thires from the past as now the border lines have already drawn and recognized worldwide as the good map. Why now you the Thais want more land from the Khmers. You should respect the map that were produced by the Franco- Siamese between 1904-07.
Thais have gained and always gain from Cambodians... we, the Khmers or Cambodians have lost a lot to the Siameses or the Thais. So, please stop this ambitious activities and learn how to be enough and to give some to your neigbours.
