Please don't blame the Khmer Surins or Khmer live on the former Khmer territorial. Our Khmer brother-sisters of today Thailand did not have a real chance or were not allowing to learn or to speak openly their own Khmer language. They did not have a real freedom, as we all have here in the Western world.

Khmer in Thailand were/ are living in this big of land for four or five hundred years, they lost almost everything such as language, culture, and the way of their own lives;Thai govt burnt books, something writing in Khmer.Thai govt did not allow them to speak Khmer or to write sixty years ago,but now they are waking up from the nightmare. Please, give them a chance to learn Khmer,to love Khmer. The Thai soldiers or polices are difference they work for the govt;they have to follow the laws of the land, even in the USA the polices must follow the order from the top. They can't do what they want to do. 1:46AM,please,calm down, forgive Khmer in Thai;thank you.

khmer language is easy to learn. start from the basic first, though. the key to learning khmer fast is by reciting the khmer alphabets, writing and reading khmer; from there, it'll be easy, really!

During the influx of refugees in 1979 the criminal Thai gov't deported about 30,000 refugees to Phnom Daeng Raek. As these long buses passed through one town, the people of that town was so nice throwing foods, and drinks through the bus windows to give people supplies for the long journey. I think that town might have been Khmer Surin towns. The Thai soldiers guard these buses so people are not allowed on or off the bus except for restroom trip. I never forget their act of kindness.

However, when we got to Phnom Daeng Raek there were some Khmer Surin thugs soldiers robbing people on that mountain. I witnessed some people were shot in front of me.

I'm in the US now, and I don't hold any resentment toward Khmer Surin. But I have come to realized there will always criminals group among Khmer who would not hesitate taking advantage of its own people if they have the opportunity.

Dea 1:46am
Herewith the response:

Some of our brothers and sisters may not know that, almost 90 percent of the Thai soldiers based on the border are Lao or Central Thai, the Khmer surin serves only as an interpreter. Next time when I visit Prasat Ta Muen, I will ask a phone number from Khmer soldiers there.

Killing of the Khmer on the hill of the dongraek is the work of the Lao soldiers not the Khmer Surin. Thailand knows well that there is no use to put people who speak the same language on the border. They do it for over centuries. I don't deny that accuse but for Khmer in Thailand working illegally they are well treated than Khmer living these days in Vietnam. At least you can find way to ask for justice.

With narrow minded way of thinking, we unknowingly cutting our own hand and feet and perhaps someday our head. What I do is now just to make the Khmer Surins look at Khmer in Cambodia like brothers and sisters and to find way to read and to interpret the history together someday.

"Learning and Sharing across the border Project" that I am writing the proposal now is to ask monks from temples in Surin and schools for milks and anything that they have more than enough to give to kids on the border who come studying computer at Chong Chom market on the Thai side.

Next year, I will find way to bring children from Siem Reap to show in Surin, Burriram and Srisaket, and perhaps Srakeo. so, Khmer Surin kids will be able to know how hard the life of the Khmer in Cambodia are. I don't need to ask what should they do...

But one thing is that dealing in Thailand is easier than dealing with Youn because youn wants to take control of your soul but while Thailand just want to have your property and then they go away.

Blaming doesn't help and we can't cursing our own past and do nothing. I stop cursing and history will be the judge for my deeds.

Please,...Forgive and forget the past that Khmer Thai treated our Khmer people in the last forty years,Thai govt was in charge over them and followed the Thai govt orders. Now Khmer living in Thai are waking up to preserve Khmer language, culture,Khmer identities, and ect...Please stop cursing them, may be one Khmer will become Khmer Empire again. One thing we,Khmer people, should learn to get along with each other. If we are united we can be strong. We should forgive them in the past and continue to listen, love, care, respect, and help Khmer Surin as much as we can.Khmer love all Khmer around the world, except the recent Khmer govt,Hun Sen and his clans.

Did you read the response as the following ?

It is good to know about the Thai soldiers based along the border. Regarding the negative comment in KI on 1:46am, we as Khmers should not take it into account. But, it is very good that he is explained the fact by cmk.

3:31 am, your comment are excellent. But, at the end of your comment, you wrote: " except the recent Khmer govt, Hun Sen and his clans". I think you should not say that, in order to be united.

So, delete those last words is the best.
