Three Thai villagers have been arrested by Cambodian border patrol police while hunting in Cambodia, 2nd Army chief Lt-Gen Veewalit Jornsamrit said on Friday.
Reports from the governor of Surin province and the Suranaree Task Force he confirmed three Thai men were arrested after straying across the border from Sangkha district of Surin province on Wednesday while hunting and foraging for food in the forest.
They were identified as Sanong Wongcharoen, 37, Ling Pongphet, 39, and Laen Sapsri, all from moo 7 of tambon Tatoom in Sangkha district. They each had a muzzle-loading gun.
Lt-Gen Veewalit said it was understood the three were detained at Along Veng and sent to Siem Reap on Friday morning.
The 2nd Army chief said the Surin governor had sent a letter to the Siem Reap governor to seek their release and the Suranaree Task Force had been instructed to hold talks with a Cambodian military commander identified as Maj-Gen Noun No.
He said it might take some time to get their release.

Their short name Sanong, Ling and Laen living in surrounding area such as Sa Keo, Klong Klung, Aranyaphet, Nong Sung.
I can tell by their name Sanong (Nong), Ling, Lan are Nyaw. As you know KHMER-Nyaw and KHMER-Lao are different. Majorities KHMER Nyaw dwelling area are Poipet, Sisophon and Battambang. On the Thai side called Thai-Nyaw dwelling area are Sa Keo, Nong Sung, Klong Klung, and Aranyaprathet. KHMER-Lao lived in Steung Treng between Khmer and Lao border. As you know KHMER-Nyaw are KHMER and Thai-Nyaw are Thai. As example of Khmer-Surin and KHMER.

I don't understand why the Cambodian authority treat the Thai enemy so gentle while they treat their own poeple so crawl. For instant,when the Cambodian court found the Thai spy guilty last year the Cambodian prime minister quickly step in to help release him from jail. And our prime minister never mention a word about the Khmer people that the enemy Thai unfairly gave them a lengthy prision term,some of them woulde have to stay in jail for up to 25 years for just crossing the border between Cambodia and Thailand to find mushroom in the jungle and sometimes the Thai soldiers shot and kill the Khmer villagers for crossing the border illegally and accuse them for drug smuggling etc.
I believe that this is the time for the Cambodian authority to treat the illegal Thai the some way as they did to us. And we should swop prisoners for example, like one Thai prisoner for 50 or more khmer prisoners if possible.
