A source from Cambodia reported that, on Sunday 19 September 2010, Son Van Thanh, a 17-year-old Khmer Krom youth was stabbed with scissors in Prey Nokor (HCMC) by Vietnamese people inside a Viet shop. Son Van Thanh was born in Khsach Kandal village, Kampong Thom district (renamed Chau Thanh in Vietnamese), Preah Trapaing province (renamed Tra Vinh). He worked as a laborer in Prey Nokor. After he was stabbed by the Viet people, Son Vang Thanh did not passed away immediately, he was taken to a hospital, but because he did not have any money, the Viet doctors ignored him and they did not provide him with proper care. They said that he must have the money first before he would receive medical case. Due to intense bleeding, the young man died at the hospital. As for the Viet culprit(s), it is not know if the Viet government will bring charge against him (them) or not.
