Cambodia seeks India’s assistance in Agriculture and Information Technology sectors

Cambodia has sought India’s assistance in Agriculture and Information Technology sectors and stressed the need for setting up direct air connectivity between the two countries. During talks between the President Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodia has sought financial cooperation in Agriculture especially for rice cultivation and irrigation projects.

Briefing media, Secretary (East) Latha Reddy said both the leaders felt that there is ample scope for further cooperation to strengthen the bonds between the two countries.

AIR correspondent reports that India and Cambodia have signed two agreements on Tuesday evening providing Cambodia an additional line of credit to a tune of 15 million dollars for completion of the water Development project at Stung Tassal while another was on capacity building.
