The Chinese armed forces were willing to further boost friendly and cooperative relations with their Cambodian counterparts, said a senior Chinese military official Friday.
Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Liang Guanglie made the remark in a meeting with visiting Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Tea Banh in Beijing.
Liang hailed the good relations between China and Cambodia, with close high-level contact and expanding areas of cooperation.
Recent years had witnessed the smooth development of China-Cambodia military ties, with frequent visits on various levels and exchanges in military training, education and logistics, said Liang.
China would like to work with Cambodia to continuously deepen the friendship and cooperation between the two nations and two armed forces, Liang added.
Tea Banh said Cambodia appreciated China's support and help with Cambodia's development and national defense building and was ready to enhance cooperation with China.
Cambodia would continue to firmly adhere to the one-China policy, Tea Banh said.
He also expressed the hope to further promote military cooperation and exchanges between Cambodia and China.

China is our best defence against Indochina Federation. In fact without China, yuons would have achieved Ho Chi Minh's dream a long time ago.
According to some reports, when yuon leaders presented the Indochina Federation idea to Chinese PM Zou Eng Lai in the late 1960's, Mr. Zou categorically opposed it. Yuon leaders were so upset and that was one of the reasons why they went to form alliance with Soviet in the hope that Soviet will support their ambition to swallow Cambodia.
When yuons invaded Cambodia in 1979, it was Chinese PM Deng Xiaoping who went to USA to gather international support to liberate Cambodia.
To the present days, who else other than China is willing save Cambodia from yuons? USA, France? not a chance. Only China who is right next door to Hanoi can deter yuons from swallowing Cambodia.

From what I read, Khiev Samphan, Ieng Sary (Nuon Chea?) were visiting China. Premier Zou Eng Lai was very sick at the time. So the three KR leaders went to see him at the hospital. Premier Zou told them to be patient and slow down the revolution to avoid causing unneccessary hardship on the people. The KR leaders did not listen to him.
After the vietnamese invasion in 1979, Pol Pot went to China to ask for help. Chinese Premier Deng Xiaoping gave him a "dressing down speech" (blaming Pol Pot) for causing so much suffering to Khmer people.
China would never support the killing of Khmer people, and they blame Pol Pot for that policy. Pol Pot said it was not his policy, it was yuon agents inside the KR ranks that instigated all the killing in order to make it easier to swallow Cambodia.
Cambodia have a very good chance to put the country back on the right track. Look at Thailand there are friend with every country. Then Cambodia looking at China and Vietnam. Why....Go with European and westerner. US will give you all for free. China and Youns will take your people future.

EU focus more on human right and education, China, japan focus more on infratruture and electricity. Korea and other countries provide different kind of need to us. We thank them.
