These APC and the T-55 are the leftover from the Warsaw pact, and were made in the former USSR.They were not new,they were overhauled, repainted, and sold with the cheaper price to CPP.
t-55 tanks are no match to Abram M1 tanks is Xen very serious on Preah Vihear that costing Cambodian money and life to fulfill Yuon interests.
T-55 is cheap and easy to operate and maintaint but they are outdate; thus require upgrade.
I am curious as to what Thailand has for tanks?
Those tanks will be added to the special units that protect Hun Sen from other CPP leaders because Hun Sen Don't trust anyone.

All tanks, it doesn't matter where it came from...are still no match against anti-tank missiles and in jungle warfare. So all you need to do is equipt yourself with plenty of anti-tank missiles and you'llhave fun of taking those tanks down. Theres no need to pay high price for those tanks. If the tank operators suck, then the tank will most likely be the victim during the firefight.

Thai dont have M1A1 or M1A2. They have old M60 and British lite Stingray, not a main battle tank.
The T-55 may be old but still very formidable unlike it's predecessor the T-55. They may be old, but a lot of electronics are up-to-date and the armament is pretty destructable.
Of course going against the M1A2, the Challenger, the lepard or Merkava Mark IV is no match. But going against an old M60 or the the Stingray, I'll take the T-55 any day.
The 44 APCs and 50 new T55 tanks are for Hun Xen's son only.

Wow! such pleasant reaction to someone who think Yuon came to Khmers for self-anihilation.
I always hear outrageous theory that Yuons was behind in the KR killing. Before I give Yuon credit for this grand design to wipe Khmer out, can someone please tell me:
1. Who came out with this theory?
