I would much prefer to rekindle the ties with India than to be strangled by the neck by dead Uncle Ho.

It is time India take interest in Cambodia and its former Hindu-Buddhist children.

You see how clever PM Hun Sen is? He engage all countries especially big country like China, India, Australia...etc. US want to come, we welcome. You visite US embassy in Phnom Penh, you know the country's commitement to strenthening the relation. Iran, Israel are also welcome. All countries benefit Cambodia, Hun Sen like to create relation. Middle east including Iran and other muslim country are big market for agriculture products. We care only business as long as politics doesn't say no...Like Taiwan or Tibet, sorry we say goodbye. Engaging with Iran is long term vision and also increase bargaining with US. If US give a bigger cake, I think he will pause the relationship with Iran. This is because US never regarded Cambodia as important as Thailand or Vietnam but China do. China know our history very well from pre industry till modern day.

12:46, How clever is Hun Sen?
Ask any 4th grader in social studies class and he will tell you that same thing. Building international partners is rudimentary, it does not take a clever or a genius politician.

It is not how many friends you make that count, it is the kinds of friends you have that matter.

Some friends like to free load, some friends like to take advantage of you, some friends want to help you become great like them while others are devious backstabbers behind your back...the crocodile kind that khmer would say "Muk how chavai, kroi how Ah", "Muk how somlanh, kroi how Ah"
