The following is a statement issued by Mr. Chey Mongkol of the Srin [Surin] Language and Culture Association in Thailand explaining the reason why he refuses to join the alliance set up by Moeung Son, the president of the Khmer Civilization Foundation. The actions taken by Mr. Moeung Son's group led to an infinite delay in the funding provided by the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) to Khmer Srin associations. Furthermore, Mr. Moeung Son would like to establish his base in Wat Svay Pagoda, a center that Mr. Chey Mongkol's Association is already providing Khmer language teaching on a yearly basis. Mr. Chey Mongkol would rather see Mr. Moeng Son starting his activities in an area where Khmer language teaching is not available yet. While Mr. Chey Mongkol refuses to join Mr. Moeung Son's group, he clearly stated that he is not preventing the latter from performing its activities in Srin, however, Mr. Moeung Son must clearly understand the needs and the requirements faced by the local Khmer Srin people and he must not impose his outside views that could seriously affect the wellbeing of Khmer Srin.

Prior to the chaos in Surin, SKSC sent email to Mr. Son Moeung:
“Dear Mr. Son Moeung,
I do not know that you are still in Thailand until I receive your email.
I am worried about what you are doing at border area. I know that you are working hard to find the way to sell you real estate in Cambodia. I wish you can make it as soon as possible.
As I have seen, besides finding the way to sell your property in Cambodia, you also are trying to associate with other Khmers in SURIN to do something which is not related to sell your real estate.
For the true interest of Teaching Khmer and Preserving Khmer culture in Surin, I think you should focus on solving your personal problem first.
I am writing this email to share my thought with you. If you think we have the same idea, I wish you should stay away from the border area and keep yourself in low profile in order to sell your real estate as soon as possible.
As I discuss with you, I stay away from politic in order to concentrate on helping Mr. Cheymongkol and his friends to implement his non-profit organization policy.”

It would reflect better on your integrity and intellect if you had done due diligent to read and understand history before spouting forth summary falsehood that you string together on the fly.
Moen Son is on Hun Sen rear kisser. Moen Son is in trouble with Hun Sen and his regime.
Son wants to help Surin people, but he is a political hotseat and his association could jeopardize current progress by Mr. Cheymonkol that is recognized by the Thai government.
So Mr. Son, should do help Srin people independently, not with Mr. Cheymonkol, and he should raise his own resources.
The more the better, as Mr. Cheymonkol say. So Khmer need more helps but should be best at this moment to have these organization independent and neutral of each other.
So 2:58, your jump to conclusion is a relefection of Khmer mentality of jumping before analyzing. YOu're not helping Khmer but definitely breaking up through these carelessness

We Khmer don't need to blame each other. The way we did, we only separate Khmer from Khmer. We Khmer are still in danger and sure, we all don't want to see the Khmer brother and sister suffer for another generation.

I think Khmer Canda is the same as a KhmerCPP. He is pretending to fighting against Hun Sen and smearing Mon Son with association with Hun Sen.
At least we agree on one thing, your boss Hun Sen is stinky, and anyone associated with him will have a stinky reputation as well!
I support Muon Son, I know he is not supporter of Hun Sen because he is running away from Hun Sen and his government's persecution for protecting Angkor Wat against damages.
I believe Muon Son heart is at right place to help Srin people. I would help them too if I can. Every Khmer should help Khmer anywhere provided they have the capability. And this helping should go out as far as we can so we can do more help, thus having more group to do work in Srin beside mr. Cheymonkol is not a bad thing.
But it is not too bright as mr. Monkgol states, to mix organizations, because sometimes conflict of interest or sometimes we do better work when we each take our own role independently.
