Khmer student clarifies the Chey Mongkol-Moeung Sonn controversy

Mr. Moeung Sonn, a Khmer-French citizen, wanted to set up Khmer schools in Thailand's Surin province, but his idea was opposed by Mr. Chey Mongkol who had already established his Khmer schools in the province. The issue was hotly debated among Khmer bloggers, with some supporting Mr. Moeung Sonn while others support Mr. Chey Mongkol. Below is an opinion of one Khmer student, Mr. Seng Thanun, who had participated in the meeting with Mr. Moeung Son to set up the school, in response to Mr. Sy Salen's letter on the same matter.

Mr. Moeung Sonn,

You have lots of issue with Khmer people in France such as poverty, housing, high school dropout, divroce, and more. So why don't you provide these support that you want to in Surin in your France country. Stop bein a dick and damn too French wanting to be famous and a hero. I have been to Mulhouse many times visiting a friend and there it is poor as dirty.

ah shit seng thanun, don't bark for ah moeung son, I am pure Khmer in Cambodia, I realise myself that there is nobody loves Khmer as Khmer does. Does ah siam allows Khmer to speak Khmer language inside his country? does the siam government allows siam territory to create Khmer school inside his country? open your eyes to see the conflict at Preah Vihear. Stop being stupid, ah silly guy. What they want to do, let them do because it is inside his territory and it is not involved with Khmer. Stop barking. It is so bore, tired and fed up of this matter.
Understand????

Khmer in PP capital.

I think when people starting something new or making a change there is a fear. In this case it is a fear of losing power or losing face as in Mr. Cheymonkol because he started the program there first. I think if Mr. Moeung Son has a genuine idea to help the people in Surin, there is no harm. They both want to accomplish the same goal and the more is the better. Maybe Mr. Moeun Son can organize volunteering groups to teach Khmer in different areas that have Khmer population. Mr. Cheymonkol can deal with the government or the legal issue such as having the program included into the public school because he is a Thai citizen and he can work on the legal aspect of the issue. There are many things they can do as an individual and a partner.

People are quick to take side who is right or wrong.

I am a supporter of Mr. Cheymonkol. I sent him funds since the inception of his program and I just met him at the end of July of this year at the border. I know he needed a lot of help and he claimed that he lacked money and human resource to carry his task.

I think if they sit down, talk, and outline as to what they can contribute individually and what they can collaborate on instead of creating an antagonist atmosphere, both of them would be happy and all khmers will receive benefit.

There is a bit of insecurity and inferior complexes played in between the accuser and the receiving end.
Why Siam wants and allows Khmers under its rule to learn Khmer language? Why no Khmer ethnic was elected to the Siam-Chin parliament or government offices in Bangkok?

Princess Surindhorn knows well and she is educated and fluent in Khmer better than Cambodia King and royalties.

Economic power in ASEAN market is Siam long ultimate goal and Cambodia is a buyer not a producer or manufacturer any time soon. So it is Siam government interest to allow this.So it is exploiting Khmers born under Siam flag at the expenses of Khmer refugees living under other nation flags to reach up to its goal,a win-win startegy which នាយជ័យមង្គល must oblige or else.
So Khmers from outside Siam can send only money in but nothing else they can do with governance and implementation.

What a Siamese syndlome, Me take money no idea no hands on no co-opelation winn be accepted from ខ្មេនចៃដាំ?
