According to Wednesday’s edition of The Phnom Penh Post, Chea Xim, president of the Senate, is currently being hospitalized in Singapore for high blood pressure. CPP Senator Chea Xon told the Phnom Penh Post on Tuesday that Chea Xim left Phnom Penh on Monday to travel to Singapore for medical treatment. It should be noted that Chea Xim traveled to Singapore for high blood pressure treatment last year also. Because of his departure to Singapore, Chea Xim missed the celebration of the 57th anniversary of Cambodia’s independence held on Tuesday. Only Hun Xen and Heng Xamrin were present during the celebration presided by King Sihamony.

Chea Sim is a former Kmer Viet Minh,
former Khmer Rouge and then CPP.
In Khmer Rouge period between 1975-1979 So Phim was a military cammander of Chea Sim .
So Phim was one of Angka Leu and former Khemr Viet Min before he became Khmer Rouge.
So Phim committed suicide ( shot himself ) after he was surrounded by KR solders loyal to Pol Pot on his run to Vietnam in 1978.
So Phim was not lucky enough like Heng Samrin, Chea Sim,Hun Sen.
