I am hoping the authority/government had the courage to honestly investigate, hold accountable who was responsible for this tragic accident, and learn from this mistake...
The people who died are like our own sons or daughters, brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, wives or husbands. Let's have the courage to ensure that the parents and families of these victims have the appropriate closure...
no leader's job is easy. if it were easy, then everybody would've done that. life will go on, but cambodia will never forget this tragic incidence. may god bless and forgive cambodia for having sin, for being short-sighted, etc. after all, we are only human beings. in khmer we often say, your pain is the same as my pain, etc... our thoughts and prayers for cambodia to heal and improve and be enlightened from this awakening moment to eternity. rest in peace to all the victims.

You oppositions are a bunch of pathetic losers. When will you learn to put yourself in his shoes? Maybe you losers need to read his book, maybe you will understand his true intentions about what he will do for the country. He has fought most of his life through many struggles to which it led him to become one of the greatest leaders in Cambodia. Cambodia needs a leader like Samdech Hun Sen because most of you oppositions only know how to criticize without using your brain. Before, I used to support SRP, but no more, because you are nothing but a bunch of extremists who has nothing to do but to fucking destroying Cambodia without just cause. Samdech Hun Sen has done so much for the country.

Usually, I never wrote comments on this stupid KI-Media. I just read it because it is a souce of information and I can see the view from the Opposition. Now I am really fed up and feel ashamed that KI-Media and other suppoerts are Khmer. If you can come and live in Cambodia and see the reality you will know why I vote for CPP. Not just see a portion of news. I was totally against CPP and Hun Sen when I was a student in Hawaii, but when I decided to return home to fight and I was totally converted to CPP when you know Hun Sen and how he strugles to help Cambodia from VNM as well as to develop.
Please don't put bad comments for me. I am khmer like you and it is my commments only.
The greeds and corruption must stop. It starts from the top. Why would any minister or official put any effort to build capacity when all they have to do is to gain as much money from whatever means. When they or their families are sick, they use their money to go to neighboring countries to get treated. The neglects of the fundamental human services such as medical emergency, siaster preparedness are bluntly put upon the poorest of the population as in the case of this tragedy.
None of these from king to prime minister to oknhas, all do not even have any confidence in their own coutry's medical personnel and facilities. Imagine going into war with invading enemy...

What we need is prevention methods, not to let this type of accident happen again in the future.
It also makes me very worried to see so much alcohol allowed to enter or be produced in our beloved Kingdom of Cambodia? What about “ YA BA “ and other types of DRUGS from Thailand and Vietnam?
Can His Majesty Samdech Ta and Samdech Hun Sen stop all sorts of drugs coming to Cambodia? The accident may not be related to drugs and alcohol but just some thing that I could not sleep peacefully from now on to the future, in the names sake of true Khmer citizen.
Can Samdech Hun Sen kindly ask all 5 million Vietnamese illegal immigrants to peacefully return to Vietnam, so Koh Pich will not be too crowded more and more every day, every month and every year to come.
All Vietnamese illegal immigrants can easily come in and settle inside Cambodia even though they already have their own country Vietnam.
When Cambodia is too crowded, definitely we Khmer people can not go to settle inside Vietnam, can we?
Please Vietnamese, you said you came to rescue us from Pol Pot, and you don’t want to return home, it is not right according to 23rd October 1991 Paris Peace Agreement, can all of you go back to your country now.
Vietnamese illegal immigrants, you see because 5 million of you are inside Cambodia, it makes us too crowded and we wasted our lives at Koh Pich without good reasons.
Your Vietnamese Communism expansionist mind in Cambodia, is to give an excuse to China mainland to occupy your Spratly Islands, Parcel Islands, the whole of your Eastern sea border and perhaps the Northern border sooner or later.

Hun Sen proudly claimed immediately that it was not a terrorists' act. He implied that his govt is still strong. He is a great leader. Now the govt takes is as a lesson.
This govt learn how to lead through sacrificing people's lives. This is an unacceptable lesson for Khmer people.
