Vietnam and Cambodia have put out to tender a project on national border map making between the two countries.
Present at the ceremony held in Phnom Penh on December 1 were international bidders such as Blom Info AS of Denmark, IGN of France, Kokusai of Japan, and the joint PASCO-FINNMAP of Japan and Finland, as well as representatives from Vietnamese and Cambodian ministries and relevant agencies and the inter-committee for border demarcation.
The bidding document was signed by Deputy Head of the Vietnam Foreign Ministry’s National Border Committee Nguyen Hong Thao and Senior Minister of the Royal Cambodian Government Var Kim Hong.
To ensure objectivity, science and accuracy, the two sides decided to choose international bidding to make the border map, showing locations of demarcating border landmarks, to be attached to the future Protocol on border demarcation.
Vietnam and Cambodia are scheduled to fulfill all border demarcation-related work by 2012.

good, this way, khmer historical enemies cannot steal anymore khmer land again! we lost so much already to these thug-like neighboring countries! i hope some day we will reclaim back all of lost provinces and islands, temples, etc! don't let them get away again, they are criminals!
They (YOUN)is rushing to do this because they know that HUN SEN is going to be out of office soon.

ps: please have cambodia students study american constitution, law, etc... it will be good for cambodia to adopt from american system of law, etc...

The Youns are rushing to put everything in print because they want to solidify their gains so far. Once it is shown in orint, the Youns can point to the new maps and claim that everything is legal. Only stupid people believe that Youns lost any territory in this exercise. Even if they did, they would have lost some useless rocky region, while Cambodia lost fertile farmlands. Var Kim Hong and his advisors must be tried for treason at the first opportunity.
