CAMBODIA -- VIP casino has gone bankrupt in the border town of Bavet and closed, Phnom Penh Post reported.

The Cambodian Ministry for Economy and Finance warned that more bankruptcies and casino closures could follow, the report said.

Only foreign passport holders are permitted to gamble in Cambodia, Phnom Penh Post noted.

300 employees have lost their jobs as a result of this closure, the report said.
