A delegation from the southern province of Binh Phuoc paid a working visit to Kampong Thom province, Cambodia on December 10.
The visit aimed to send ten breeding ostriches for the province’s citizens to help improve local residents’ living conditions and bolster friendship between the two provinces.
At the meeting, Binh Phuoc provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s technical staff carried out check-ups and assessed the ability of the ostriches to adapt to a new environment in Cambodia.
They also instructed Kampong Thom’s farmers in ostrich care and disease prevention.

Khmers don't know how to raise them, because they are so stupid, hahaha
Yo are insulting Our Compatriots. The ostriches are not local birds, they are imported from foreign countries.
It's good to encourage and teach our peasants to raise the ostriches if this kind of farming really benefit them.

ostriches are expensive to raise and khmer people don't like to eat ostriches. i think most people prefer chicken to ostriches. ostriches is good for looking at in the zoo, i think.
just a thought, where were these ostriches during the starving time in KR era? people would eat it all, then!
i think khmer language called the ostriches "maon yak" or giant chicken, don't you think?
by the way, i heard ostriches can kill people, too; they used their legs by kicking, so be careful when go around ostriches, really!
The Viet brought these ostriches to the illegal Vietnamese immigrants,not Khmer residents in Kompong Thom.In this province,there are many Viet residents.What someone can see are few ostriches by Viet .
Also,in this province has a big rubber field which Hun Sen let Viet to plant rubber for 99 years contrct;this rubber field worked by Viet soldiers only.
The Viet did like they had done to Champa and Khmer Krom.Without a doubt,Cambodia will be like Khmer Krom.
Don't be happy with few ostriches,these ostriches belong to Viet residents,not Khmer.
