On 14 Dec 2010, Vietnamese border troops banned a group of about 18 opposition SRP MPs and other party officials – right inside Cambodian territories – from visiting the location where stakes are installed for a border post delimiting Cambodia and Vietnam in Memot district, Kampong Cham province.
The scuffle took place between the Cambodian border post in Daun Roath zone and the location for border post 103 located inside Daun Roath village, Roung commune, Memot district, Kampong Cham province.
The SRP MPs asked the Cambodian border police to contact with the Viet border troops so that they may travel to visit the location of border post 103, however the request was not successful.

Even the Vietnamese authorities fail to abide by the symbols of their own sovereignty and decision i.e. the border markers, by sending armed soldiers to block civil observers on the Cambodian side of the markers!
Yes, Cambodia maybe - and has been - a de facto province of Vietnam, in which case, why pretend to have border treaties and agreements which have not been fair to Cambodia in the first place, and on top of that, resorting to every means to breach them?
What is the pretext for sending armed troops into the country this time? To resist the genocidal clique of heavily bespectacled SRP law-makers? Because the Cambodian border security authorities are yet to recover from the morning-after effect of another night spent at the local karaoke bars?
As someone has called for, Khmer people must join hands together by putting aside their respective political party differences.
