When it rains (Soy Sauce), it pours (Fish Sauce)

Irate reader: "AH HENG SOYYY!! ah lop youn heng soyyy!! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO WAKE UP! THIS IS AN ERA OF GLOBALIZATION NOT COLONIALISM! EVERYTHING CHINA DO IS BAD WHAT ABOUT THE WEST? AH HENG SOYYYY NAS AH LOP! AH YOUN!"

Another Reader: "At the beginning, it never came to my mind to think or believe Heng Soy acting for yuons' interests. But after hearing what other posters said and spending times to observe what he posted/wrote, I start to question myself if I was/am wrong. I'd like to hear what Heng Soy has to say to defend himself. I hope we're not losing another soul to yuons."

To 2:34 AM

This song was made in the earliest 1970s, not in Khmer Rouge regime. It means a lot to all Khmers not even if in Khmer Rouge regime. We all should remember what Vietnamese did to Cambodian back then, they killed lot KHmers. Would you please stop bringing Khmer Rouge?

Oop! 4:42 AM and 4:47 AM it's me

I just wanted to clarify concerning the song. Actually it was generated in the late 50s or older then that. The songs really old songs. I heard since I was a boy in 1950s.

Hey!.. you can find any Khmer Republic song on line or any Khmer vendor in Cambodia. There a lot of private collection of the Khmer republic song, especially from 1970 to 1974. In 1975, the year almost at end of the era and the year felt into hell, they did not produced more song even films.

A bunch of Chopstick was original sung by the Group of Fine Arts University . Ros Loan was the vocal.
And then I arrive in Thailand ,1980,
I heard the song was signing in Thai Version by Thai artist,Burei Ram camp.

4:56 am,

Thanks you for clearify this, I might be too young to remember any of this. The word "samaki" which I heard a lot of Khmer Song during the KR regime,...I know the meaning of the word is good - to be united together, but I think the KR made the word to have a bad connotation, thus whenever I heard this word...it scare me! Just like I like "kroma", but when Ms. Seng, which didn't know much about KR and Ms. Socoure, she didn't went through KR regime and call for "kroma" moverment...it scare me! It bring back all those bad memory during that period. I am sure that many Khmers that had gone through KR are not ready to join again and to start a moverment...ha, I am sure that many people are not ready for that again!

9;34 it call PoT Pot sindrome!

Anonymous said...

1:02 whatever sindrome you call it, but those leaders that try to mobilize Khmer people to unit, better know Khmer's history and how Khmer people feel. Be sensitive to their past history. Otherwise their policy and stratigy is not working!

These beautiful were not in Pol Pot era. They were before 1970.
In 1970 ah Sihanouk asked Viet soldiers to kill Khmer people all over the country. What did Sihanouk say from Beijing,"kaun chao ruot chol prey mackee",it meant that children went to the jungle. But in the jungle there were so many tigers waiting them, especially Vietminh soldiers were waiting to them. This how Sihanouk to kill. Why did he do that? Because he wanted to get power back.He is so hungry and greedy power.he didn't care how much khmer people had been dead;what he care was power..Khmer people can read his attitude.
