I had reconized 7 January 1979, but now I will not reconize 7 January 1979, becaue the day that Vietnamese (Youn)invaded Cambodia. Am I clear Ah Youn?
Once again, I was a Khmer Rouge soldier and now I knew that Vietnamese (Youn) involved in Khmer Rouge killing filed. We, Khmer Rouges made mistake, we all knew that all did by Vietnamese (Youn). Khmer must NOT recognize 7 January 1979, the year Vietnamese invade Cambodia not to save Cambodian.

Only the Khmer Rouge Pol Pot hate January 7. Millions of Cambodian people alive today because of January 7th. For without it, how many millions more innocent Khmer would die under the murderous Khmer Rouge regime!
Many blinded, illogical people condemn the vietnamese invasion. Yes the Vietnamese have to come to fight the Khmer Rouge, who else come to fight, Sam Rainy? Lon Nolniean? The American or the UN? Hell no. No one come to help us. So if you worry about losing land to the vietnamese, what good is the land if all people died in the hand of Pol Pot madness!
Looking back at history, Cambodia today is millions time better than it was under Pol Pot regime. So yes we should celebrate January 7 as our nation liberation from death camp of Pol Pot regime.

Hey, if they Viet want to kill all Khmer, they don't need to bother to send troop to invade Cambodia. They just need to wait a few more years and let Pol Pot kill more Khmer, then they just walk over and take the land, that is very easy.

Sihanouk asked Vietcong troops to help him because he helped Vietcong too.
Along with Vietcong there were Khmer Vietminh,Khmer Rouge(Pol Pot was a Vietminh too at that time).
The Vietnam troops
invaded Cambodia in 1970-72,and back to
Vietnam.But Khmer
Vietminh were fighting among Khmer Rouge.These two groups were not
getting with each other.The Khmer Vietminh served Vietnam and Khmer Rouge served China.
Heng Samrin,Chea Sim,and Hun Sen fled to Vietnam;
Then Vietnam govt
sent troops to invade Cambodia second times in January 7 1979.
The Vietnam govt toppled Heng Samrin,Chea Sim,and Hun Sen as Khmer leaders.
So,January 7 1979 was not the day what Vietnam govt rescued Cambodia,but the day of Vietnam took over Cambodia as it province the same as Lao.
rejoice, it marked the end of suffering under KR regime and the beginning of another era in our long history of nation. it's life!

From my observation and from my reading, Cambodia is deteriorate because of the irresponsibilities, the corruptions and the lack of general knowledge of each leader.
The prolonged war is also affected to Cambodian mentalities.
I think it's better to learn from these mistakes and help to develop the country by eliminating corruption and improve the education system and welfare.
WE should avoid war, discrimination and learn to be responsible.
Pointing finger to each other it's not a solution. Help to develop the country, educate the population in every sector by doing volunteer work, do what we can do for the population to have a better life is very important. The rich should learn to help the poor through donation or build school.
Small Idea
Stop arguing each other. It's all Sihanouk's mistakes when he ruled Cambodia. He was spoiled by his non conscience surrenders and his very beautiful corrupted wife supported by Vietcong spies.
Lon Nol tried to restore the country but it was impossible by the corrupted officers.
In general it's the corruption that make Cambodia to become like today and the lack of responsibilities of each leader.
In addition I would like to share my ideas as normal citizen, as leaders of the country, they need to know well their population's mentality, their history and geography, be flexible, good leadership skills, good character,good decision making, be a role model and assertive. They need to have very clever advisors
who are nationalists and like to work for Khmer interests, be aware of spies etc...
So the main problem for Cambodia to become smaller is the irresponsibilities, the incapacities and the corruptions
