He is one of Hun Sen's supporter and always deal with Hun Sen regime. He once was disrobed by a girl who fools him for his money. After less than a year, he puts his robe back on to control the temple again.

Hun Sen will send his delegates to the funeral. Just wait and see who is showing up.

Rest in Peace (RIP).

Huh? I used to see that old monk. Some people say he was not very welcoming and vert selective. Not all followers of Buddhism were welcomed at his temple. That was what I heard. So...His temple also operated this Death Insurance Scheme that asked Cambodian Buddhist people to chip in a certain required amount to help with the funeral cost of a "member" who passed away. However, the living members were carrrying too heavy of a burden because there were usually too many deaths within each month. There were even pictures of foreigners as well. Each member was expected to donate the required amount for each of the "member" who passed away. But the problem was that there are at least 5 to 6 "members" who passed away each month or within a few months. So people began to investigate. Then they found out that the "Death Insurance" Organization was running old pictures of the deseased over and over in order to attempt to collect more money from the living members. It got so fishy when the organization was asking living Buddist members to pay the dues for foreign looking deceased of other races to include the Mexican, the White, etc...

Anyway, may he rest in peace. No one is perfect. While he was alive he had the vision of converting the abandoned factory into a Buddhist temple for the Cambodian people to have a place to worship. That is what counts.

My prayers and condolesences go out to Ven. Chhean's passing and his temple organization. May he rest in peace! I think we should not talking about what he did wrong. Instead, we should embrace what he has done for our Cambodian community. Please have respect for his passing.
