Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said Thursday he will not allow his country to follow any situation as happened in Tunisia.
Delivering speech at inauguration of a hospital in Kompong Cham province, Hun Sen said his country will not follow the same trace of Tunisia.
"I will close the door and hit the dog inside," Hun Sen said, referring to a Cambodian politician who suggested a similar example in Tunisia be practiced in Cambodia.
But, Hun Sen did not name the politician except saying he is staying abroad.
Hun Sen said he came to power through people's votes and he will only lose his power through the same channel. He became the prime minister in 1985, or 26 years since then.
Former Tunisian President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, who had ruled the country for 23 years, was ousted from power last week following mass protests from the people. He fled to Saudi Arabia last Saturday.
Hun Sen is vice president of the ruling Cambodian People's Party which won 90 of the total 123-seat parliament in the last general election held in 2008.

Hun Sen must seek a distination to take refuge. He can't go to Hanoi because US embassy is there. The only place he can enjoy his old age is Cuba, Myanmar, Iran etc where US embassy is not exist.
So Hun Sen will "shut the door and hit the dog inside". Is that a misprint? If it is not, then is there any more proof needed by donors that this man is only one tiny step away from being the next Pol Pot? Pol Pot closed off Cambodia and killed the Khmer people quietly too. Hi Mike, i think there is nothing wrong with other medias, especially those medias support CPP to draw worse picture label on Sam. I am sure that Sam would not upset, sue to court, arrest, or kill you as like as Hoon Xen killed those journalist who criticize him. I know that Sam knows the freedom of speech and he will thanks to those who criticize him. You live in USA you should know the freedom of speech. even if you criticize Obama or you call Obama A Obama he would not kill or arrest you. Unlike Hoon Xen if you call him A Hoon Xen, Hoon Xen will kill you instantly. So do you see the difference between Hoon and Sam and Obama.
