The nationalist People's Alliance for Democracy yesterday ratcheted up its rhetoric against Cambodia and the Abhisit Vejjajiva administration even though it told its supporters that it has no intention of leading Thailand to war with Cambodia.
A man got on stage and insisted to the moderate turnout of some 3,000 in the early evening that "the PAD is not inciting [the government] to declare war with its neighbour".
Nevertheless, a poster attached to the gate on Makkhawan Bridge showed a picture of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen being likened to a "criminal" as well as a monitor lizard, a symbol that Thais regard as an insult.
T-shirts carrying patriotic messages like "Retake Preah Vihear Temple" in Thai, referring to the contested Khmer site that is claimed by Cambodia, can be picked up from vendors at the protest venue.
Yellow bandannas with the message "protect our land" accompanied by a picture of Preah Vihear Temple are also available.
And for those who can't read Thai, there's a yellow plastic placard that reads in English, "Stop MoU 43! Cambodians Get Out", alluding to the controversial MoU dealing with the disputed border signed by both governments in 2000.
Shortly before 6pm and not long after the male speaker onstage promised that the PAD is not calling for war, his female colleague read a PAD leadership statement of the day, urging the Thai government to repeal the MoU unilaterally and "use military might to pressure [Cambodia] into drafting a new MoU".
"Yeah! That's the way to go!" shouted one yellow-shirt supporter in the front row as many others waved their hand-clappers and cheered in approval.
"That's the way!" he shouted again.

If Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Hun Manet remove the tablet it is show they are extremely coward and his star are just joy stars given by his daddy not by patriotism. Dr. Hun Manet is very coward as his daddy they only aim to kill innocent cambodians that all. Dr. Hun SEn and Dr. ten stars Hun Manet are very great at bullying cambodians and killing Cambodians but cowardly toward Thai and Viet.
Seriously where is the win win policy of Dr. Hun Sen represent. The country is getting smaller and shamer by Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Hun Manet.
All khmer need to be smarter by now. No one in this world want our country to be better than their. so let me as everyone a question, do you want other people's children to be better than yours, the answer is, absolutely not!. So from here khmer need to learn to work together as a team or else other nation will take addvantage of us. Right now Thai gov't see us as a weak nation due to khmer killed khmer and wanting to finish it off so that they can own our land. In other word love to steal our land. So, what is the next step for us? we need to increase in population growth and train more armies to protect its own nation, how? alliance with all the super power nation, North Korea, China, Irag, USSR, and more...ask them what can they do for you? and what can you do for them? Khmer has a lot of resources like rice, fish, vege, oil, patrol, gold, diamon, Iron Oar...
In return get more jets, missiles, nuclear bombs. It is not for fighting for protecting from being used and abused from our neighbours...otherwise they continue to threaten us non stop. So, once we have all of these in stock, we will be able to move and make our own decision whenever we can... wisdom
These Siem protesters are supporting Siem criminals. Why do the Siem protesters are protecting the Siem criminals for breaking the law of Cambodia? Tell me do these Siem protesters want to promote more criminals in Cambodia? And these Siem protesters need to take a close look at themselves in the mirror and because they are support Siem criminal for breaking Cambodian law and that make all of them a fucken criminal too!

In the world there are many countries big and small, strong and weak which coexist side by side.
To prevent the big and strong ones to harass or encroach the small and weak ones, they have created the UN so that these countries can coexist in peace.
The current stupid Cambodian gov’t which is not willing to use the UN to solve the present conflict with the neighboring countries is beyond the majority of the Cambodian people’s comprehension.
The current situation in Tunisia and Egypt is about the corruption, high unemployment and lack of free presses, but not about the ceding land to the neighboring countries.
Cambodia has them all, but its submissive population is willing to live like a flock of sheep.
Civil war in Thailand will happen soon as long as these PAD exist.
