HOUSTON (KTRK) -- As a monk at a local temple is on the run, wanted for sexually assaulting a teen, we're talking to the girl whose accusations made him a wanted man.
At Wat Angkorchum Cambodian Buddhist Temple, Monk Vuthy Meas goes about his daily routine unsure of exactly why the temple's abbot, Venh Por, hastily returned to Cambodia.
"We built this temple in just three years," he tells us, before describing Venh Por as a decent man.
But prosecutors believe the monk fled to avoid facing charges of sexually assaulting this sixteen-year-old girl.
"I know what he was doing to me, and I guess I feel upset," the teenage girl said.
The teenager said she wanted to speak out after watching other members of the temple defend the monk in public. She says it all began when she, at 15, would accompany her mother to the temple.
"He come in, he touch my boob, and I said why'd you touch my boob?" the girl recalled.
Over the past year, the sexual encounters continued, until she made an outcry at school. Initially, even her own parents didn't believe her.
"They don't believe me. They believe the monk because everybody believed the monk," she said.
But the investigation continued, charges were filed, and Venh Por apparently fled.
The 16-year-old may not be the only victim. We spoke on the phone with another teenage girl who said the monk tried to kiss her on the neck.
Prosecutors say they even though the monk is reportedly out of the country, they will continue to search out other victims.
"When I say anything, it's not a lie. It's true," the girl said.
The 16-year-old says she hopes prosecutors can find Venh Por and eventually bring him to justice.
At the temple, his photo is still on the wall, and members say they still support Venh Port the monk.

If Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Hun Manet remove the tablet it is show they are extremely coward and his star are just joy stars given by his daddy not by patriotism. Dr. Hun Manet is very coward as his daddy they only aim to kill innocent cambodians that all. Dr. Hun SEn and Dr. ten stars Hun Manet are very great at bullying cambodians and killing Cambodians but cowardly toward Thai and Viet.
Seriously where is the win win policy of Dr. Hun Sen represent. The country is getting smaller and shamer by Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Hun Manet.
This sounds like a khmer foklore story about chao San who reported the dringking monk to the people but people never believe him. They trust the monk than the boy.
This monk should face justice in the US. He should be bring back to the US if he escaped to Cambodia.
I know that KI Media does not condone any immorality or betrayal of the public trust, but the monk must be presumed innocent until proven guilty. If we assume that the monk is guilty because of the teenager's accusation, then we might as well be transported back to the Khmer Rouge era of the dark age. Let me give you an example: Some men think that their fish trapped were tampered with and their trapped fish stolen by somebody. So they concluded that the act must be done by a thief. Then they saw this one lone man walking up the path in their direction. So they concluded that that man was the thief who stole their fish. So they grabbed him and killed him. Later on they learned that the man whom they killed was no thief but a son of some old man and women who was just returning from his work group. His supervisor came looking for him after he did not report to word for a week. The poor guy was already gotten killed even before he got to meet his parents. This happened because some crazy jerks with some f*cked up logic and passed on the judgement on the victim unreasonably.
So let us give this monk the benefit of the doubt and wait until the evidence proves him guilty then we can all join in to hang his azz.

believe me all bastard monks in Phnom Penh are dogs. They always flirt the wife and the daughter of the people to fuck. They cover the robe duing day time, at night hey undress and go to bar, night club, drink and fuck ladies. They put a spell as they believe on the lady and persuate them to come to them for fucking.
A lot of bad monks out there this day. Most temples controlled by Hun Hen and the immoral Tep Vong.
They don't care what' going on as long as those monks support their regime.
There are good monks out there but a lot of them are just like the above post described.
Some became monks as a way to make an easy living such magic power etc..
I feel bad that it had happen. because i believe in the monk and i kinda believe that girl. But i don't want it to be because it's just not right and i am very sad....because iam a buddhist.
It has to be true because why would the girl tell the public about it to ruin her rep for? I'm not surprise that there are bad monks nowadays as there are bad Reverend sleeping with underage girls.
That's what happen when people are illiterate, they tend to fall into the monks'prey.
I am a Buddhist and I respect real monks who followed the Buddha right path.
However, this Por Venh man is not a real monk, he is an idiot. He is a Viet agent sent to US for his duty to destroy Khmer Buddhist society. Viet knew that Khmer would be survived by getting back our strength to fight back because of the helps through Buddhist religion channel, by mean of good leadership, at this situation. Through this network we could make Khmer united and build up our strength. Therefore, Viet and the puppet government have worked it out before hand, sent him and others agents to US to do the destruction. Obviously, Por Venh, at Kemararam Temple, used his conspiracy strategy to blind the stubborn people to believe in him and did propaganda for Viet communists and the puppet government of Phnom Penh, directly and indirectly. He supported 7 January, the day of Viet invasion Cambodia, and he destroyed the Buddhist Cambodian-American society in that Temple by be separating them, a few years a go, before he moved to Ang Kor Chum Temple.
There fore, as a Cambodian fellow, I remind all of you, the Buddhists who love our motherland and Buddhism religion, to be careful with those monks whom sent to US by Phnom Penh government and Khmer Vietminh Tep Vong. Those monks would do the same thing as Por Venh did… Even those Por Venh is gone, but there are a lot more of the same monks still are in the US, at the present time.
