The Thai government will use peaceful ways to settle the continuing border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Saturday.
During an interview given to AP reporter in Davos, Mr Abhisit said both Thailand and Cambodia are parts of the Association of Southeast Asia Nations and therefore, solving of any conflict between the two countries should be in a peaceful manner.
Asked about the three demands by the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), the prime minister said PAD has the constitutional right to make such demands or to rally against the government.
“On my part, I will do only for the best of the country”, he said.
The PAD is demanding Thailand’s withdrawal from the Unesco World Heritage Committee, the revocation of the4 2000 MoU sign with Cambodia and ejecting Cambodians in border areas the group claims belong to Thailand back to their homeland.

Ah-bullshit Vejjajiva is not interest in making peace with Cambodia. Him and his Thai supports want war with Cambodia. He was bluffing when he said he wanted peace. If he wanted peace, he shouldn't mobilize troops to the border overnight. That was not an act of peace. That was an act of provocation so to have war with Cambodia. The call for peace over border dispute is getting old. Nothing has resolved. Cambodia should just cease the idea of any nogotiation because peace and co-existence is not what Thailand wants with Cambodia. Thailand is very much wanted to go to war with Cambodia to resolve border issues. It still wants to live back in the old uncivilized timeline, where every little issue was solved through warfares. Cambodia should understand this and must cease to except any terms or condition set forth by Thailand. Cambodia must stop playing games invented by Thailand.

Warfare is the greatest affair of state, the basis of life and death, the way to survival or extinction. It must be thoroughly pondered and analyzed. Therefore, structure it and evaluate it comparatively through estimations and seek out it's true nature.
As you now know that our leaders' task is to unite the people and make them follow the ruler, then they will die with him, they will live with him and not fear of danger, and as we all clearly see, our leaders in general have encompassed the wisdom, credibility, courage, strictness, and they do understand the laws for military organization and military discipline very well.
As you have heard "The wars win or lose before we ever fought" or another word "evaluating the enemy, subjugating the enemy's army without fighting is the true pinnacle of excellence". If you understand that then you will never blame our leaders for what strategy they have been using vis-a-vis Thailand's military bully. The basic strategy in warfare is to focus upon manipulating the enemy, creating the opportunity for an easy victory, and then applying maximum power at the appropriate moment. Avoiding strong forces is not cowardice, but wisdom, for it is self-defeating to fight when and where there is no advantages, like Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". All of you should have one of these books. He said "One who knows when he can fight, and when he can not fight, will be victorious. One who knows themselves and knows the enemy will not be endangered in a hundred engagements".
As we clearly see, initial estimations show that our gov't does not have or gain more advantage to the nation for going to war right now. Am I right?
The greatest military commanders have always frequently thought and identified solely with the common strategy of "Deceit and Deception". That's the strategy that they will be using in any warfare. Warfare must be viewed as a matter of deception, of constantly creating false appearances, spreading disinformation, and employing trickery and deceit. When imaginatively created and effectively implemented, the enemy will neither know where to attack nor what formations to employ, and will accordingly be prone to making fatal errors. How Deception does it like this if the enemies have greater number of forces full of strength? We avoid them and wait until we create chaos or weakness within the enemy's rank first. If the enemies' unity caused them to be separated, attack where they are unprepared.
Go forth where they will not expect it. If we found ourselves or estimated we are in advantageous position, destroy them. These are ways the military strategists devised to obtain their victories. They can not be spoken of in advance. As all of you have seen, the USA lost war, not on the battlefields in Vietnam, but in the war room in Washington DC. In direct battles, US Army's power machine have sought to obtain victory in every combat, but the press and the people in Washington have opposed the war. They demonstrated and kept on putting pressures on the Gov't to withdraw the US troops from Vietnam.
Now you clearly see war, win or lose, is not about military power, it's about deception, using our brain. Am I right? Mike
Thailand back down and play down, because they seen cambodian strenght, our military have more weaponry today, i used to said, if we don't upgrade our military power, these neighbors country will not leave us alone...But we must continue to do more in the future, step by step, we don't need nuclear weapons? Nope! just enough good modern, high tech weapons to defend our airspace, our territory, we need modern weapons to compete with the world today, the world has changed, you can't compete with the world today without NEW TECHNOLOGY! COMPUTER HIGH TECH! If we continue to do so, we will be in good shape...
I think Thailand trying to see what kind of weapons we have, so, they will get an idea to destroy in the near future...war! Thailand is very tricky, very flip flop, they know how to make khmer feel comfortable with them, after that, they will stabb you in the back...the same shit with Vietnam!
it's simple, siem! respect the international treaty of 1907 that saw the present-day cambodia borderlines created! that's the only map cambodia honored all along! this map will be and should be used as a baseline map to demarcate all present-day boundary lines, etc... this map can be enhanced with modern map making technology, but it has to be a baseline for all demarcation, otherwise, cambodia cannot and will not accept any siem steal of our lands and territories, etc..., ok!
if siem negotiate with cambodia with a different map, forget it! it won't be considered by cambodia, period. we cannot stand to lose more lands and territories as we did during the dark ages era, ok!
