“I will close the door and beat the dog.”
Prime Minister Hun Sen on Thursday vowed to take harsh action on any Tunisian-style revolution among Cambodians.
“I have to send a message to people who want to inspire a riot [like] in Tunisia,” he said in a public speech in Kampong Cham province. “I will close the door and beat the dog.”
Hun Sen was referring to the ongoing social upheaval in the North African country that toppled a longtime authoritarian president and is calling for a total change in government.
“I remind you: first, do not play,” Hun Sen said. “But if you can gather enough people, please go ahead.”
Hun Sen, who has been in power since 1985 and is the sole candidate for premier for his Cambodian People’s Party, did not direct his remarks at any one person. But his speech follows a report on Radio Free Asia that inferred such a revolt “might happen one day” in Cambodia.
Kem Sokha, president of the minority opposition Human Rights Party, said Hun Sen typically reacts this way “when someone talks about his power.”
“But no one can take him over,” Kem Sokha said.
The government should not be concerned over a Tunisia-style revolution, said Chan Soveth, lead monitor for the rights group Adhoc. “I think our Cambodian people cannot act like the Tunisians.”
However, he said, the government should not be careless about such and event, which should act as a reminder to seek “equal economic growth sharing between the rich and the poor” and the improvement of human rights.

Hun Sen used to close door to kill dogs from 1975-79, now he is thinking of closing door to beat dogs again. This time the dogs will bite you because dogs have no place to run.
Hun Sen is lucky to have opposition party as a formal scapegoat. Whenever, he has his own problems with people and his own party, Hun Sen always attacks opposition party as an excuse to indirectly threaten Khmer people and CPP members.

The Khmer are respected people in the south East Asia old high culture. I personaly have followed Khmer policy since 1970 till now. .... in 1993 all the Khmers have the best chance to escape from Vietnam but the Khmer policians are really blind:
1) Sihahouk go back to embrace the Vietnam (dead foe of him till 1993),
2) Former FUNCINPEC had a weak decision despite they winned the free election with more than 80% and always depend on Sihanouk.
3) grave mistake from CPP (vietnam ediology) will never give up its power and promised all to Vietnam.
Now 2011, we can see the bilance of why Khmer land was lose by CPP:
1) more Viet living in Cambodia (est. 6-7 millions, 50-55% of Khmer)
2) fast all the business fall down into the Vietnam and foreigner hand,
3) the real Khmer and poor people move aways from city, except a strong CPP clans.
4) The land owners was forced to sale with cheap price or robbed from the people with power under alias "Development area".
Prognose:
The real Khmer people will be a minority in max. 15-20 years later. The most new leader will be the Vietnanse children borned in Cambodia. That is the fact.
Khmer oversea - Cambodian people recant your voice and concern for Cambodia. You are no longer Khmer in our eyes. Please adopt your host country and die there. We do not need your dirty politic on our soil. We will defend Prime Minister Hun Sen at all cost and if you dare we will close the door and beat the dog.

Why I say that, At the university I have a lot of friends from China, they told why Sihanouk is alway in my country (China) looking for help and stay there, If he is a really Khmer leader he must stay in Cambodia like the other leaders in the globe, last word they say your King Sihanouk has never served for Khmer interest. That is the words of Chanese students oversea.

There are plenty of documents that could show that Uncle Ho, CPP, Hun Xen and its cronies have organized its strategic & systemic squad to destroy Khmers (robbers, kidnappers, attackers, secret agents, spies...etc).
