Tucson (Arizona, US), Jan 16: US diplomatic cables released by the whistleblower website 'Wikileaks' have portrayed a deepening ambivalence toward the rule of Tunisian President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, focussing not only on the corruptions of the country's first family, but also praising Ben Ali's cooperation against terrorism and the stability he long imposed.
In the recent weeks, the revelations helped fuel the anger on the streets that eventually forced Ben Ali to flee the country, which he ruled for 23 years.
A June 2008 cable titled "What's Yours Is Mine", said: "Corruption in Tunisia is getting worse. Whether it's cash, services, land, property, or yes, even your yacht, President Ben Ali's family is rumored to covet it and reportedly gets what it wants."
It also claimed that two nephews of Ben Ali's had seized the yacht of a French businessman in 2006.
"Although the petty corruption rankles, it is the excesses of President Ben Ali's family that inspire outrage among Tunisians. With Tunisians facing rising inflation and high unemployment, the conspicuous displays of wealth and persistent rumours of corruption have added fuel to the fire," the cables added.
Another cable from July 2009 reported a "lavish" dinner of the American ambassador, Robert F. Godec, with Ben Ali's son-in- law, Mohamed Sakher el-Materi, in his beachfront home in Hammamet.
The cables quoted the ambassador as saying that his hosts' behaviour made clear "why they and other members of Ben Ali's family are disliked and even hated by some Tunisians. The excesses of the Ben Ali family are growing."
The protests in the country began several weeks ago following the death of Mohamed Bouazizi, a 26-year-old who worked as a fruit and vegetable vendor despite being a university graduate. He set himself on fire in a city square in December when the police seized his cart and mistreated him.
After Ben Ali fled the country after being in office for over 23 years, Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi announced he was taking over as interim President, and promised that fresh elections would be held within six months.

Khmers are like dogs and Hun San is their master. You can fuck his wife or his daughters but at the end he is still your master. How often have you seen a dog has killed or eaten his master? How often have you seen a master has eaten, fucked or killed his dog?
I don't expect this guy will go in whatever reason is. He leads Cambodia from 'Zero' to 'Positive' and he also can lead this country from 'Positive' to 'Zero' also. This guy will do whatever he can to protect this power in Cambodia even have to sell this country out.

Man who got great success in every major things in life are generaly known as cold-blooded, and somestimes ruthless, or tyrant. often they misunderstanded. What they have is will-power , whic they mix with persistence,and place back of their desire to insur the attainment of their objective. Toughness and persistance equaly to the chararcter of man what carbon is to steel. Now you clearly see toughness, or tyrant persistance is the only source to great success, don't you?
The marjority of people are ready to throw their aims and purpose overhead, and give up at first sign of opposition. those are the man who significantly selfe important over service, they speak soft and act prestique, in this manner it only atract weakness people and will fail in evry things they do. Weak peopel are those weak in desire and persistance they did find themself lack persistance, it like small a mount of fire make smale amount of heat.Now we clearly see loser consider themself as self important over serivce and the tast at their hands, isn't it?. Those loser mainly are good in talking, tlaking and talking but in practiclay they are not or weak. The first sign of weak people are jealousy, envy, critiscism, and anger, they devastated any things they touch.

In 1980 to 1985 durring the dark period the whole nation don not have police yet, it was unlawful, any one could rap, steal and kill without the proper cout system, I remember when I was in law school, gov't do not have criminal law chargs against killied trafice accidant yet, becouse on the street we don't have car. in those situation and now we need people who are strong mentality and physicaly to run our country. and good things is gov't surounded with top interlect Khmer or foreign mentor. Now we immagine that Cambpodia futur are strong not weak. aren't we? if gov't not strong the Thai will never act like human, they alway act like babarian towards Khmer. thank
