I feel you should not bow down to Thailand at all cost. The case of Preah Vihear has clearly been rendered by the ICJ in 1962, therefore, if Your Excellency were to get involve in this dilema, that alone would open another threshold for Thailand to argue in the Hague. Your Excellency must reiterate and continue to make a strong statement to Mr. Kasith that should Thailand wishes to argue about Preah Vihear that Thailand should file a petition at the ICJ in Hague. I am also a Cambodian children who was borned in Cambodia and I have followed this case and has done extensive research on Preah Vihear Case where it began since 1959, thus I advise Your Excellency not to get involve with Thailand about the case of Preah Vihear. We have international laws and we should let the world know that Thailand is a country that cannot be trusted. And no other country knows this better than the United States of America. In addition, Your Excellency must make it clear to Mr. Kasit that any illegal activities pursuit by Thai militaries, Thai citizens entering Cambodia will be punished to the full extense of the law of Cambodia. Furthermore, Your Excellency must reaffirm Mr. Kaist that Cambodia would not stand down when enemies are encroaching and trying to destroy a peaceful nation like Cambodia. I hope Your Excellency read this message clearly and consider this option as a tool to counter defense for Cambodia and her people.

I wish that the Thai-Khmer border conflict would get bigger and bigger that way the United States, China, and the Russia and other weapon dealers can sell more weapons so that the world economy can lift up from economic slump! Thailand must be reprimanded and pay a price for using the same unfaithful tactic in resolving border dispute, which had irreversibly damage a world heritage site.
They started by making irrelevant demands which usually leads to border tension and skirmish, resulting in irreversible damage to the Preah Vihear Temple. When the skirmish gets out of hand, they ask for negotiation with a despicable excuse that it all started with some sort of misunderstanding.
From previous skirmish which also damaged the temple, Cambodia accepted the negotiation unconditionally and the issue of temple damage is never heard of again. It is about time that the Cambodian government make a stand and start demanding. If not, what will be left of the Preah Vihear Temple?
If not, Preah Vihear Temple will just stand another day to see the same things happening over and over until it cease to exist.
Cambodia has been playing along with Thailand's mode of border dispute resolution, which is highly influenced by their internal political games; for far too long. During this time, they have no intention to give up the 4.6 km of land, rightfully owned by Cambodia. With the current approach to border dispute without third party intervention, the issue will remain until the end of time while the people of both sides won't be able to live in peace and therefore economical development will not occur as smoothly as the government wants at the border.
Hopefully the Cambodian government will not play along with Thailand's approach for far too long, as this will not benefit the people of both side.
When will we see the Khmers rise against Hun Sen as the Egyptians do? Will there ever be that day my fellow Khmers?
