Phnom Penh – The Council of Ministers issued the latest casualty number from the 4 clashes with Thailand in Preah Vihear between 04 and 07 February. The latest toll is heavy.

The number of dead is 7: 4 soldiers, 1 police officer and 2 civilians. There were 31 injured: 30 soldiers and 1 civilian. 3,000 families including about 10,000 people were evacuated to 7 refugee camps in 3 districts. 50 of the refugees became ill after the attack. 2 police stations and 3 houses were destroyed.

The 12 Feb statement by the Council of Ministers indicated concerns, especially regarding the use of illegal weapons by Thailand, such as poison from cluster bombs and attack on civilians as well as on public refuge for the poor.

There are also major damages reported on the Preah Vihear temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Cambodian government called this even a true war, and it is looking for international intervention in order to end the Thai aggression.

That is not that bad. I mean I hate to see even 1 soldier die is too many. Their lives are as precious as anybody. Considering how dirty the damn siem used in terms of poison gas and cluster bombs. I was brazing for the worst.

What about on the Siem side. I want to know the official death tolls. I understand that Siems do not tell the truth about their casualty. How can our army intelligent get the real number. That's how we measure the success of the battle.

10:48 that's true. I agree 100% about kids they don't. But I just hate to see Siem boasting about their military prowess by not telling us the real death tolls. It seems that our troops suffered more casualty than them. Deep down I don't believe it. But I just want the real number to substantiate it.
