The joint-projects cover the areas of agricultural science and technology, quarantine, forestry and seafood.
Vietnam and Cambodia are planning to collaborate on more than 20 projects worth more than US$17 million.
Vietnamese officials say the joint projects, which will run until 2020, cover the areas of agricultural science and technology, quarantine, forestry and seafood.
There will be strengthened collaboration on controlling disease outbreaks along the countries' shared border as well as forest management and timber trading.
Vietnam has agreed to help fund an aquating breeding development project and to help build a seafood research institute in Kampot province.
Cambodia has agreed to a deal to grow rubber and industrial trees on its land.

When a country feels the need to expand in order to relief itself of its own population strain and lack of natural resources, it finds itself looking beyond its borders to solve its own problems.
Vietnam will soon be overpopulated and will need more land to house its people and will need more land for agriculture. Thus, Cambodia is the answer. Cambodia can solve all of those problems.
In order to send some of Vietnam's population into Cambodia to relief overpopulation and to sustain itself with enough agricultural products for its population, Vietnam needs a weaker country to comply with its geopolitical-economic interests.
Once again, Vietnam has that in Cambodia through Hun Sen's CPP & Vietnam government long-term bilateral agreements.
Vietnam already controls a good portion of Cambodia's economy and telecommunication. Officially, Vietnam hasn't annexed Cambodian territory, but Vietnam has leased a lot of land through its military-controlled companies.
Basically, Vietnam is and has been in the process of colonizing Cambodia.
To the international scene, everyone sees it only as Big Brother Vietnam helping out a less fortunate Little Brother Cambodia. They do not know the age-old scheming and conniving nature of every Vietnamese government throughout history towards Cambodia and its people.
