Libyan leader says he is surprised that the world doesn't see that he is preventing war throughout the Mediterranean.
PARIS - Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said in a French newspaper interview released on Sunday that he was embroiled in a fight against terrorism and expressed dismay at the absence of support from abroad.
"I am surprised that nobody understands that this is a fight against terrorism," the longtime autocrat of the North African oil-producing state told the Journal du Dimanche in excerpts of an interview due to be published later on Sunday.
"Our security services cooperate. We have helped you a lot these past few years. So why is it that when we are in a fight against terrorism here in Libya no one helps us in return?"
Gaddafi, who has ruled Africa's fourth largest country since a 1969 coup, faces an unprecedented popular uprising that has seen rebel forces assert control over Libya's east and loosen his grip in the west near the capital Tripoli.
Western leaders have denounced what they say has been Gaddafi's brutal, bloody response to the uprising, and the International Criminal Court said he and his inner circle could be investigated for alleged crimes committed against civilians by his security forces.
Gaddafi, who spoke to journalists from his headquarters in Tripoli, said Islamic holy war would engulf the Mediterranean if the insurrection in Libya, inspired by successful pro-democracy uprisings in neighboring Egypt and Tunisia, succeeded.
"There would be Islamic jihad in front of you, in the Mediterranean," he said. "Bin Laden's people would come to impose ransoms on land and sea. We will go back to the time of Red Beard, of pirates, of Ottomans imposing ransoms on boats."
Gaddafi added that his government was "doing well" despite the armed turmoil and warned Europe against an influx of Libyan migrants to its shores if his foes drove him from power.

Mike,you know alote of what is going on in Cambodia and your comments are sound good to Yourn supporter I believe you are lives in oversea. You, me and some of our reader in this blog or KI blog are try to make our opinion ben heard, that was good piont but if we forcus too much on nagetive or wrong doing we didn't see or learn the positive from each other, to be fair we must mak it balance betweent Mr. Rainsy and Younrn puppet, HunSen. we know Hunsen did alote of mistake in the past and never admit it, people can rise up against him, now he doing the right thing for our nation. if you are runing your own business or runing the country ero are ineviable, as well as Rainsy runing trying to protec Cambodia. We must gave credit to superior side of our leader both of them. I am very bussy man but I did see KI and some Rainsy supporter are very fair and put their wrong believe on past experience and fale futur vision created by rainsy. in the Past Youn tooke Khmer krom, he arouse anger agianst youn and HUn sen, in the futur he put vision that for us to imagine that all Khmer next generation will have no land for their children he arouse, arouse, and arouse anger against Youn and hun sen, thise kinds of ideosensory very persisting. The thai if they wand to invade our country they put stratergy 5 to 10 years ahead, by first destroy our allian vietnam, then separet us and at last Thai will destroy Yourn now you clearly see Yourn don't supported Ki, and double agent Yourn agent, Mike stratergy are working very well, wasn't it true?. who are the real trator? Many dictatorships around the world have rode on USA policy of fighting against terrorism to suppress their own people to the bones such as Hun Sen, Burma'leaders and korean'leaders. They are indeed all terrorist against their own Nation.

The problem of Kadhafi is because he doesn`t know that he is a dictator . And the people around him never dare to talk about the reality to him that why he is thinking all people in the country still love him. There are not only kadhafi felt this kind of sentiment .In fact most of the dictators in the world think also like him, even Hun Sen .

During Pol Pot regime,what countries
were the boss and friends with Khmer
Rouge? There were many Chinese trucks
and personnel lived in Khmer Rouge regime,they carried rice and tons and tons.
The North Korea,the Cuba and other
communist countries.
Did communist countries care about
Khmer people?Even Thai,Lao,and Vietnam,they did not care about Khmer too.
These three neighbors were bad also.
The UN and the FREE WORLD,how come
they did not come to intervene in
Khmer business?
The world has two blocks:The communist and the FREE WORLD.
They compete each other for their

The Pol Pot era was different from
this era.Wait and see.
People should keep their eyes on Libya.How they can do? Do they ignore like Pol Pot era?
The Pol Pot regime closed the outside door and beaten or killed Khmer people.
In February,Hun Sen said,"I close the door and beat the dogs".
Hun Sen will kill Khmer people for
